You already know dilly does local. And you already know dilly prefers small, locally-owned businesses over chains and big-box stores. So it should come as no surprise then that Arrudas has been my choice for hardware and supplies for many years.

Located on Barton Street just east of James, it has always surprised me that whenever I've gone in there and asked "do you have..." followed by just about everything including a couple of kitchen sinks, they've never said "no".

It's a mom-n-pop operation with all the kids involved. And talk about knowledgeable. Go in, tell them what you want to do, and they'll guide you through the store tehmselves picking out whatever it is you need to finish your project.

Parking right out front. Competitive prices. Helpful knmowledagble staff. What else could you ask for in a nice neighbourhood hardware store?
