If you are looking for sales staff that know what they are talking about from plumbing to painting to small engine tool repairs this is the place to go. James in the tool section is an absolute pleasure to deal with. The manager is always there to help and all the other sales staff are excellent. I have not met anyone there that has not been friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. This is how a business should be run!

I was looking at purchasing a leather recliner from Cox Home Hardware in Pelham. They didn't have one in stock in the colour that I wanted, but the sales girl offered to order one in so that I could see it. Great! I went into the store; liked it and wanted to purchase it. Delivery was free (also great), but I asked if the recliner currently in place could be moved to the garage for a charity to pick it up. She said that she would check with the delivery people, but when I went into the store today a different clerk said that I must arrange to get the chair I already had moved and that they would not move it. They said no store would touch my existing furniture. I bought a la-z-boy sofa in the summer from another store and know that statement to be false. I'll shop around in St. Catharines on Monday and i'm sure that I can find a store with better customer service than this. A task that would take maybe a minute, is denied and thus a sale is lost Stupid!! Customer service at this store has always been great, but this result is disappointing. Oh well, they're not the only retailer in town!

I see that you are reviewing the wrong Home Hardware. This is for Hartzel Rd, not Cox 's Home Hardware.

I think this is the best Home Hardware there is. The service is excellent. Staff is efficient and knowlegable and most importantly, friendly and helpful. Unlike the H.H on Scott St. That place should just close down! They disgrace the name Home Hardware. Keep up the great work Hartzel crew, you're awesome!!

They are always eager to help you out... perfer shopping here for this reason. Shelves are always well stocked and they always have that "certain specific thing" that I think I wont be able to find.
Need to add "store hours" information to this website.
