The lady who works there was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She had some great tips for building my Gundam model kit.

Purchased faulty toy train. $167. Engine never worked. Took it back 4 months 13 days later ( guess I was busy ). Got some serious attitude. Told it would cost $100 to fix. Contacted manufacturer Marklin in Germany myself. All I wanted was a working engine. They sent me a whole new set ( engine, tracks, cars , etc ) no questions asked. How come Magic Box could not do that for me?

I took my 10 year old son in with his plane and helicopter from an uncle for Josh to fix. Josh said they would be ready by noon the next day. I went in the next day at 4:30 and he was too busy to do it so I had to go back the day after. Cost $30 for roughly 15 minutes of work. Josh didn't bother to make sure the helicopter was working after he replaced the part. I don't know the status of the repair to the plane yet..cross my fingers. I ended up taking the helicopter to Racing Devil Hobbies in Richmond (I live in downtown Vancouver) and they fixed it on the spot and didn't charge me a dime. This shop is well organized, clean, and the guys there are very friendly. Magic Box Hobbies...not so much :(
