As the title suggests, stay away from Liza homes at all costs. They are a slippery bunch and their sales agent Indra should be selling snake oil, not new homes. We had an absolutely horrible experience and luckily cancelled the deal before it was finalized. Check out Tarion to see how many complaints they have ; trust your gut and go with a reputable builder.

I am a purchaser awaiting for a house from Liza Communities to be located across from their decor office in Whitby. Just to give you a little bit of a background, the house was purchased in April, 2010. We later received a letter (which did not arrive on time as set out in Tarion standards) stating the closing date was moved to November 2011....and as time went on, was moved again to November 2012. To make a long story short, just returned a phone call to Liza Communities to find out that NOW my due date is Fall 2013. I've contacted the city a numerous times to find out that Liza has never even applied for building permits - they still have to sort out their plans which have to be approved by the city first (hearing throught the grapevine, they're going through some troubles with the city - as well as financially).
Please, if you are considering of purchasing with Liza Communities, please save yourself the trouble and aggrevation. This was suppose to be our new home. Do your own research. Having family in and around the contruction business, I know delays as such are not heard of - if they happen with these extremes, they mean trouble.
