We have been coming to Mendakota since a few days after our son was born (over two years ago now) and primarily seen Dr. Mulloy, and a few times Dr. Lawson, and Dr Straley. We have never had any issues and have loved it very much, knowing we are always taken care of. Dr Mulloy from the very beginning has been so kind and caring not just for our son, but the two of us as parents checking in on us, and making sure we are doing okay. As first time parents, having someone take the couple extra minutes to make sure we are doing okay, is really meaningful especially in those first six months. On top of all she has going on and the patients under her belt, she has never failed to bring back around things from previous appointments to check in with our life, even when it has nothing to do with why we are there for our visit. Her bedside manner is absolutely incredible, and she is an amazing pediatrician. We have moved, and I wish I could bring her with us. You won’t be let down by choosing Mendakota, you will be taken care of as a full family, by any of the doctors in clinic.

Dr. Lawson goes above and beyond to truly get to know both you and your child. From the moment you walk in, he is warm, welcoming, and genuinely interested in how you and your family are doing. He listens carefully, is incredibly patient, and never makes you feel judged. Instead, he makes every visit comfortable while offering encouragement and support.

He also has an amazing way with children. He knows exactly how to help them feel calm, safe, and comfortable, making what can be a stressful experience much easier for both kids and parents.

Dr. Lawson truly has a heart of gold and a remarkable gift for caring for others. We are so grateful to have him as our pediatrician and couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Dr. Straley is also wonderful and we have truly enjoyed having him as our doctor as well! He is also kind, patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. It is great when he can relate with his experience with his own kids.

Our family recently moved to this state, and finding a good pediatrician was really important to me. In our previous state, the doctor we had was often rude and dismissive, and I didn’t feel like my concerns as a parent were taken seriously.

Dr. Lawson has been the complete opposite. He truly listens to my concerns, takes his time, and works with me to find solutions for my children. I never feel rushed or ignored during appointments.

As an African American family, it means a lot to finally feel heard, respected, and cared for. I’m really grateful my kids have a doctor like him, and I highly recommend Dr. Lawson to other families looking for a pediatrician who genuinely cares.
