Woke up around 3 am with tightness in my chest, felt like bronchitis which I’d had before and with a week-long cold getting worse I thought it warranted a trip to the ER. I had no family doctor and was (perhaps erroneously) convinced that walk-in clinics wouldn’t take a patient with respiratory symptoms so a little before 8 am I arrived at Steinbach Bethesda ER. There were 3 patients ahead of me. I was registered and triaged fairly quickly. Within a few hours of my arrival all 3 patients who had registered before I did were called in. Then as people started to trickle in, one after another patient was called in while I waited. At 1:30 pm, about 5 1/2 hours after being triaged I left to seek medical attention elsewhere. Abysmal service, and not the first time I or other family members have experienced this at this ER. I will do whatever I can in future to avoid it.

Been at the emergency for 6 hrs, just so my daughter could get an X-ray on her knee, it took them 3.5 hrs to get the X-ray done, and now it's been 6 hrs and she just got in to get her results. There has only been about 6 patients here since we got here. And some are still here waiting. Got here at 8 pm and it's going on 2 am and the wait could be longer yet. Very poor administration and organization, I can see why people have died in the waiting room. Something needs to be done, what a waste of tax payers money
