I have been a client of Dr. Thomas and her team for close to 10 years. She and her hygienists have worked with me to notably improve my gum health. On the times I needed fillings or crown work, she either comfortably rectified the problem or, on my more severe issues, referred me to highly skilled endodontic and periodontic specialists who coordinated with Dr. Thomas. My appointments have always been punctual and I feel my time is respected with her and her team.

I went to Dr. Thomas about one year ago after my previous dentist retired. After being examined, she informed me I had 10 cavities that my dentist of 25 years never informed me about, and immediately provided me with a $2.5k payment plan to fix everything. Shocked by this news, I went and got a second opinion and was told I had zero cavities. I find it quite shameful that a dentist or any medical professional can be that blatantly wrong and willing to bill someone for unnecessary work. The only family that Dr. Thomas at Thomas Family Dental cares about is her own.

We’ve taken two of our kids to get tongue ties revised (both around 2 months old at time of revision) and have been very pleased with the experience — so much so that my husband is considering getting his revised! Dr. Thomas is extremely knowledgeable and goes what I would consider above and beyond. They swaddle the babies to help their nervous system and do a short red light therapy session immediately after the procedure. My newest babe actually fell asleep during the light therapy, which is a testament to their emphasis on comfort. The revision helped both of my kids nurse more effectively, which in turn meant less trapped air, less gas, more sleep. I would recommend Dr. Thomas without hesitation.

We worked with Dr Thomas for our 2 month olds lip and tongue tie and she was AMAZING! She actually listened to our concerns, helped us understand the procedure and healing process, and answered all of our questions. I would recommend her and her office to everyone!

Dr. Thomas and her whole team is AMAZING! My son had a grade 4 lip tie and grade 2 tongue tie. He was having so many issues. He had a bad latch which resulted in taking in air while eating which resulted in horrible stomach issues.

Not only did Dr. Thomas and Mel take care of my poor guy, they also made me feel so calm and relaxed about the whole experience. They even helped watch my other kids while I was nursing right after his procedure. They loved on my babies as if they were their own. His latch now is amazing and I have Dr. Thomas and Mel to thank! Recovery was smooth and doing his stretches was a breeze thanks to staff making sure we knew exactly what we needed to do to ensure his tie didn’t heal back together. I’m so glad we have someone in Mid-MO who is not only wonderful at her job, but a wonderful and caring doctor and we didn’t have to travel all the way to St. Louis or Kansas City to get his ties lasered.
