After graduating from massage therapy school, she attended many months of training in Minneapolis to receive a Master Certification in Medical Massage, as well as many other extended… Susan has had extensive training in several areas of massage therapy during her fourteen-plus years as a therapist. After graduating from massage therapy school, she attended many months of training in Minneapolis to receive a Master Certification in Medical Massage, as well as many other extended pieces of training around the country for Orthopedic Massage, Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, and Neuromuscular Therapy. She also has taken private training for Lymphatic Drainage to accommodate the needs of her clients. Other specific training techniques such as Trigger Point massage, Pregnancy Massage and Assessment Techniques have been acquired over the years. Susan Stone is a long-time resident of Ames, Iowa. She has been here since 1976 when she came here to attend Iowa State University. Throughout the years, she has raised three amazing children, homeschooling them for many years. She has been involved with the AIDS Coalition, Parents Of Newborns Support Program, and United Way. She has been a respite care provider for children with special needs for eleven years and a foster parent to more than seventy children in the past fifteen years. She continues in these support services. She has vast experience with children, having owned and run a child care service for toddlers for ten years.
