scum of the earth. this company does not care about tenants. don't bother renting with them, they do not and will not care about your apartment or wellbeing. absolute crooks. this company should be ashamed.

I reside at 2 Grandstand Place and this place is always kept immaculate!! There are "no" cockroaches!! (I've lived here for 10 years and NEVER have seen any, even in the hallways or common areas). There are "no" bedbugs. Cromwell is ALWAYS PROMPT in doing repairs when needed. At least twice a year they SHAMPOO the carpets on all floors and the Lobby is always kept in a state of welcoming appearance!! I am in my 60's and have had a lot of experience in living in other rental units, and by comparison I am the happiest since I moved into this location. When my family and friends come to visit me, I feel proud when I get comments from them how nice the appearance is. And the building Superintendent is also very helpful with communication and information required by tenants. This location also received all NEW MULTI-FUNCTIONAL WINDOWS LAST SUMMER, and it makes your inside unit "sparkle" when the sun shines in. Sweet!

If any of you are looking for an apartment, do not do business with Cromwell Management.
Cromwell are crooks! They will try to steal as much money as they can from you!
Especially if you are a student, they will take advantage of you!
Find another company, these unethical thieves cannot be trusted

I realize this review is being filed under a building in Toronto, but Cromwell is not providing a proper venue to review this building from the 1920s in Montreal.

Since Cromwell Management took ownership of this building it has deteriorated rapidly. Lights are burnt out, they have not repainted the hallways, left doors unfixed, and did so-called outside construction last summer (in 2011) which is already crumbling. Their excuse might be they are beholden to corrupt contractors, but they are failing at their responsibilities to their tenants.

They nickle and dime their tenants to the extreme, and fight them when they request the simplest of repairs. They also don't care who they let into their building, as long as they pay their rent, and make no effort to accommodate anyone who might live a slightly different lifestyle than they deem acceptable.

Another reviewer from Toronto on another board was adamant to not rent from Cromwell Management, well, for some, there is no other choice, as they are buying up properties in Toronto and Montreal like wildfire.

Unhappy tenants who are being harassed and squeezed by Cromwell Management should speak up in any venue they can find and not be afraid of some two-bit management company just because they think they own a lot of real-estate.
