I was a client of Silverthorn & Lupolover before becoming a client of Cockburn & Asoc. I paid $449.48 per month that was to accumulate until they could negotiate a settlement for my debts one by one. A deal had been made to settle one of my debt accounts by Silverthorn. Cockburn stepped in - missed 2 payments the fall of 2012. With a lot of talking and begging the company let us resume payments as per our deal. Cockburn missed another 2 payments Jan. & Feb. 2013. The deal had been that if payments were not made the deal fell through. Negotiations were that if $8,900.00 was paid this account would be considered paid in full. Cockburn took the money from my account but never forwarded it to the creditor. It cost me $16,000.00+ to settle this acct. plus whatever Cockburn kept from the payments I had made. NO DEBTS were settled and when I fired them they tried to take more payments out of my account. Fortunately I had closed the account. Try and get help from your own bank, lawyer etc.or negotiate your own deal with a creditor, before falling for a scam like this. I'm still paying for my stupid trusting mistake! BEWARE!!!
