Dr. Umanoff is so kind and caring! Talk about a bedside manner! I've had chronic debilitating back pain for several years and Dr. U has kept me from pulling my hair out! He's the BEST and all.of his staff are just as wonderful! Thank you Dr. Umanoff!

He’s in a rush time is money for him. I don’t know what happened to his caring and compassionate ways that are mentioned in the other Reviews. I’m stuck with him for now. I certainly hope he changes his ways. If not, I guess I will have to search for another pain management doctor elsewhere.
He talks down to me as if I am stupid, and basically constantly tells me to calm down, which really means to shut up. I have serious pain management issues. One of which is that I need a hip replacement which he tells me that I should not get because I am to young. The pain from my hip is intense. I’m walking with a cane again. My lower back he tells me one thing at a time. I have Two protruding discs. The one on the lower right side is especially painful and I can only lay in my bed to sleep for between three and four hours a night if I’m lucky. I’ve gotten absolutely no help for that. He won’t even discuss it. He keeps saying one thing at a time. Seven weeks ago I woke up with excruciating pain in my right shoulder And arm. My right hand has been completely numb for the entire seven weeks. the day after it happened I saw him For an appointment and I was there on time at 8:30 AM But the tech brought me in late and his computer wouldn’t work so he yelled at me about all of it And told me that he was an hour behind because of all of this so I got three minutes for my appointment. He Touched my neck and said it will resolve itself and prescribed muscle relaxers. Two days later, I called CNSO And begged to come in for a neck, x-ray With anyone. Venus The nurse practitioner was very helpful. She Got me an x-ray for my neck. We went to various medication’s to help me. She also got an approval for An MRI for my neck. Then I saw Dr Umanoff again and he treated me badly as usual. I attempted to switch to another doctor in their office , but I was called two days before that appointment and told that he only does injections and won’t prescribe my gabapentin and other medications that I’m on so I’m stuck with Dr Umanoff. I’m sure when he sees me again at the next appointment coming up in the next couple of weeks he will treat me badly as usual probably worse now because I’m back with him after telling him we were like oil and water and just don’t mix, but whatever I guess this is just what you have to deal with in the medical industry, if you want pain management of any kind, even if it’s from somebody who doesn’t care about you at all. Once again time is money for him that seems to be all he cares about. I wish you would care about me and the pain that I’m in .. I will give him credit for finally sending me to physical therapy and getting approval for my brain scan. Hopefully, physical therapy will do something for my neck and then maybe he will let me stay there for my lower back. In the meantime I really wish he would discuss injections for my lower back and my neck and my hip. My entire life is still total pain. Some days I don’t even know how I make it through the day. I really wish he would help me. If he did, I would certainly change this review.

Dr. Umanoff is not only very attentive, but helps to relieve any and all anxiety with his warm personality. His facility was the only place to truly believe and work to understand why I was in so much pain for a prolonged period of time. After physical therapy, chiropractic treatments, acupuncture, stimulation and medications were unable to treat my pain, him and his fellow doctors examined me further until they were able to find the cause! I can’t thank him enough for never giving up and for advocating for me with insurance, other providers, and during my procedures. I would highly recommend anyone in pain who wants to be heard and understood visit doctor Umanoff and CNSO!

Due to a deformed spine, I have encountered pain my entire life. I had other pain management doctors in the past but Dr. Umanoff surpasses them 1000%! He is a very concerned, considerate doctor and seems to express disappointment if treatment doesn’t help and continues to come up with additional courses of action. Yesterday, I had a new procedure and today I am finding new comfort all due to his expertise. He personally called me this morning to follow up.
