I have decades of experience with inspiring others by sharing my personal stories of mental strength in the throes of illness and adversity while living my best life. In 1999, I was a young wife and mom with two small children when I was diagnosed with System Lupus Erythematosus which is a non-curable autoimmune disease. This disease attacks the entire body and can be very debilitating physically and mentally, a challenge to say the least. In 2010, I received another serious blow to my health, I was diagnosed with Lobular Breast Carcinoma which resulted in a bi-lateral mastectomy, extensive chemotherapy, and several other reconstruction surgeries. Fighting these disease taught me many positive lessons about myself and life, that I am grateful for and willing to share. I believe I have been entrusted with my life experiences and positive perspective (and the gift of gab) to make a difference in the world with words of inspirations and experience. My hope is to inspire others to overcome illness and adversity to live their best lives, as I have done. My philosophy is “not” to settle for a life of illness, to live “as a sick person”.
