Can I select less than one star? What a disappointment. I always thought insurance was a sort of "be there when you need it" service, but in my opinion Wawanesa doesn't subscribe to that line of thinking. They took days to respond to a serious claim, and once they did they were not nice to deal with. When I mentioned the difficulties I'd had with my claim to two professionals in the industry, they asked who my insurer was. When I told them "Wawanesa", they both indicated that they felt Wawanesa was understaffed. So maybe it's not just me - maybe they simply can't deliver service.

So, if you're looking for insurance, remember, buyer beware. If you're thinking of Wawanesa for your insurance, ask them how long it *really* takes them to respond to a claim. And be sure to get quotes from elsewhere. If you want your insurer to be there for you when you need them, in my opinion you'll want to take a pass on Wawanesa.
