He completed his surgical training at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, where he served as Chief Resident. After completing his training, Dr. Mekala decided to return home, to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He joined North Texas Surgical Specialists and currently practices general surgery, acute care surgery & minimally invasive robotic surgery.
