They completed our renovation on schedule and the quality of work really shows. The kitchen and bathroom upgrades turned out better than we expected, and the attention to detail throughout the project was excellent. The crew was respectful of our home, kept the site clean, and always showed up when they said they would.

STAY AWAY – careless, sloppy, disorganized
We deeply regret trusting Elite Building and Construction. Hiring them resulted in property damage, financial loss, mold exposure, constant stress, and months of unnecessary chaos. Never again.

Elite Building and Construction was hired for a one-story addition. What followed was one of the most stressful and damaging experiences we have ever dealt with.

Major Negligence – Home Flooding & Mold
• They flooded our entire home by using tarps with large holes to “protect” the structure from rain and snow.
• The damage was so severe the house had to be stripped to the studs.
• Remediation was delayed repeatedly, despite us clearly explaining what needed to be done.
• Because of their delays, mold developed in our basement — completely preventable.

Property Damage & Irreplaceable Losses
• Nearly all furniture was damaged, even though we used hard plastic bins and our own tarps.
• Several one-of-a-kind solid wood heirloom pieces made by a family carpenter were damaged.
• Insurance will not cover their true replacement value, meaning the financial loss is permanent.

Missed Deadlines & Budget Failures
• Nothing was on time.
• Nothing stayed within budget.
• Schedules and commitments were meaningless.

Poor Workmanship & Constant Rework
Almost everything required intervention from us to be fixed properly. Some examples include:
• Insulation installed incorrectly — only corrected after we pointed it out.
• Holes left in newly finished drywall around roughly 80% of light fixtures and outlets (sample image 1/27 attached).
• Work routinely left unfinished or sloppy.

Subcontractors’ vs Elite Crew
Some subcontractors were excellent, however:
• Plumbing was unacceptable.
• Anything completed by the Elite crew themselves was consistently poor quality.

Zero Quality Control
• If you don’t find defects yourself, they stay.
• There is no internal inspection or accountability.

Chaotic Management & One-Way Urgency
• If they needed something, it was “urgent” and demanded immediate response.
• I repeatedly had to leave work during lunch breaks to drive to site and solve their problems.
• When we needed answers, responses took weeks.

No Problem-Solving Ability
We were repeatedly told our requests were “impossible.”
Every time, we personally found solutions that achieved exactly what we wanted with little or no extra cost.
Their favorite phrases say everything:
• Mazin: “That’s impossible.”
• Karl: “Construction is stressful.”

No Respect for Your Home
• Poor protection of work areas.
• Careless handling of belongings.
• Damage treated as acceptable collateral.

Final Warning
What you see on their website is photoshopped bait. We had to repeatedly ask them to remove our own home, the photos of which had been highly edited, from their website. They are not a professional builder. They are an unstructured renovation operation with no real systems, planning, or standards.

This company is:
Reckless. Sloppy. Untrained. Disorganized. Chaotic. Unprofessional. Dangerous.

We recommend to avoid them entirely and choose a professional operation such as Team Shane instead. Calling this company “Elite” is misleading — right now they are a Temu-level builder and are at least a decade away from professionalism.

Mazin, Karl and their team only have one goal when they start a project and that is 100 percent customer satisfaction. This goal is achieved with trades people with exceptional skills and workmanship, knowledge and communication to work through any issues or
changes that may come up. From their first visit to your home to the completion of your project they are completely invested, multiple site visits and always reachable. We had complete trust in Mazin and Karl and their team and they treated us and our home with complete respect. It was like working with trusted friends. My husband and I moved into our home 5 years ago and hired a company to install a second three piece bathroom that was costly. We ended up with a shower that did not drain properly and you were standing in a pool of water which finally resulted in mold all around the bottom of shower. The quality of workmanship was substandard in the original bathroom. We could not be happier with our new bathroom. I do not have pictures of first bathroom, only the new one.
