Seeing and being able to take part in the care she received by her doctors and nurses is what inspired me to join the healthcare profession; and I knew immediately when I joined my mother for her first day of chemotherapy treatment, that I wanted to specialize in oncology. Why? Because not one cancer is the same, nor does it behave the same, or respond to treatments the same. It is so unique and individualized and while I was sitting with my mother that first day, you could see the camaraderie and the hope amongst the strangers sitting in the room together. They along with the surgeons, doctors, and nurses, were a unified team, one I wanted to be a part of. I enjoy the variety of the various oncogolic and hematologic diseases as well as their treatments as they are highly individualized. I want my patients to know that they can trust me as I am always here for them; whether that is just for a routine follow-up, an educational plan of care visit, or even just an ear to listen with. Whatever the issue, I will always take the time for them and will approach each matter with respect, sensitivity, and thoroughness. I look forward to serving our community for several years to come.
