Our daughter found this law practice after we had a bad accident two years ago. She suggested we get in touch with John Chilson. We are so happy she did, and that we followed her advice. We were clear that we had no interest in suing the man who drove into us. Life is too hard sometimes and people make mistakes. But we did want to get our hospital and rehab bills paid. I was entering the hospital for an operation that had an expected time of admission for 5 days. Unfortunately, there was a mistake made the second day after the actual operation. I was overdosed by Propofol, the same chemical that killed Michael Jackson. The heart and lungs both stopped, and it took Narcan to get everything started again. My five day stay finally ended after 54 days. I had to learn to walk again, and I suffered with an anoxic brain injury among other injuries.
I requested the hospital to review the occurrence, and their response was that the pharmacy determined that there would be no lasting injury for the propofol overdose.
I started looking for a lawyer to review my story. John Chilson was recommended to me, and I made the decision to follow that route. Now he did not just accept the case. I had to prove how the injuries occurred, the extent of the injuries, and how the hospital responded to the injuries.
John Chilson, and his team, were considerate and understanding as we learned the process. He advised us what expectations were and what we could expect throughout the court system. I had all the information to help me with my decisions. As the delays, information requests, and other tactics from the opposing lawyers came in there was no panic as I had been warned that these would occur. It shouldn’t be a surprise that I was rewarded with a settlement in the case.
