My ex. Let the wrong man sign paternity on purpose.
I did so much research. I knew the truth. I needed a Court ordered DNA test.
They got me that for $6-7k+
I agree so much with the first commenter. He didnt wanna talk on the phone with attorney bc 8-10 min call will cost $100
After 5 years my ex got with a guy while pregnant. We all worked in same building.
I have so much proof that she and this new guy committed paternity fraud.

Cordell. Cordell. Wouldn't even listen to me.
Im gonna go in a different direction.

Long story.

I spent $6-7k
To prove i was the biological father.

We got a good deal at first.(she didnt have attorney)

But Cordell couldn't close the case.
She lawyered up.

Then me and her agreed to me getting one more night every 2 weeks.

Cordell wouldnt even go put into paperwork which is literally the difference of me paying $50 or $15
A week for 19 years.
Its like bro. Really.
Im paying you $380 an hour.

This will last me 19 years (financially)

The extra night(which i have)
On paper would save me close to $2k a year for 19 years.

Flabbergasted.

Having an attorney for the first time for a divorce, I am not sure how the process works but I can tell you that I have been charged $180 initial consultation fee, $350 for a one time fee for processing paperwork $727 for talking to my lawyer $88 a status letter, and $520 for a discovery request and few other services. Not sure where the $350 comes into play as far as covering paperwork but I am afraid to call them because they will charge me more money anytime I talk to someone. My soon to be ex has not been charged anything so far from her attorney as of today. I sent my attorney an email showing how I think assets should be divided and no feedback other than where I would be living after the divorce. Robert has kept me informed and had always said to contact him if I had any questions which I like. I am retired and on a fixed income so for me it is getting expensive.

They got the job done and got me through the divorce. I think they were a bit overpriced but it wasn't crazy overpriced. There were two instances where a lack of attention to detail caused me some head aches due to unpleasant exchanges with the exe. Also, I signed off the divorce in October. Had I waited until January, I wouldn't have had to pay the difference of married vs single for 10 months of taxes. That was a big sting. Had I been advised that this was going to happen, I would have pushed that signing back 2 months. That said, I was very anxious to be done with the process and I'm sure Robert, my attorney, was working to close out things as his primary concern.

Robert talked me off the ledge several times from either offering or accepting a bad deal just be done with things. He made himself very available for questions and concerns. He explained things in a concise manner that was easy to understand. He did a great job of explaining the process and what we were about to go through.

All in all, I'm pleased with their services. I may not recommend them to a friend overly concerned with the cost, but I wouldn't deter a friend from using them if they were ready to for that.

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Cordell & Cordell. Firstly, they charged me a consultation fee upfront, promising to provide quality legal advice and assistance. However, after the consultation, they completely dropped the ball. There was zero follow-up from their end, leaving me stranded and clueless.

To make matters worse, when I reached out to inquire about retaining them for my case, they had the audacity to demand another consultation fee just to retain their services! It felt like they were more interested in milking money out of me rather than genuinely helping me.

Moreover, their lack of organization was appalling. I scheduled an appointment with them, only to find out upon arrival that they didn't even have a lawyer available to conduct the consultation. I was forced to wait around while they scrambled to locate one, wasting my valuable time.

Overall, my experience with Cordell & Cordell was a complete nightmare. Their unprofessionalism, disregard for clients, and money-grabbing tactics are utterly unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and avoid this law firm at all costs! There are plenty of other reputable firms out there who actually value their clients and provide competent legal services.

Communication was great! Rex was highly available and quick to respond. He cc'd me on all correspondence with my former spouse's attorney. He was quick to communicate with me information that he received from her. Also, Rex did a great job of considering my priorities while helping me to understand the benefits/risks of pursing each alternative. I am confident that Rex's advice led me to the best possible outcome in my given situation.
