Currently he implants 3 classes of lenses in cataract surgery which include distance, astigmatism and trifocal/multifocal lenses. Dr. Newsom was one of the first in Tidewater to use the LenSx laser platform for cataract surgery and has performed over 15,000 ocular surgeries.
