We went to the Mount Pleasant location as I had received a gift certificate. The food was divine. We shared all the items we ordered, starting with the calamari frites, a light dusting of batter, no grease, and excellent aioli. Next, we shared a Caesar salad which was incredible. Finally, we ordered what Piano Piano is known for-a pizza. We had the Godmother and had to take a piece each home! The crust was just like what you find in Italy. There had been raves about the carrot cake so I tried that, however it wasn't for me. That being said, my friend liked it! Would highly recommend this place.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the manager. He let us come earlier from our reservations. It was amazing anniversary. Service was top notch! Waiter was very attentive and super fast service. Must say this is our favourite Piano Piano by far. We will be back❤️🥰🥺

Loved my experience at Piano Piano! They actually have a piano. I came here for a Summerlicious 2026. Didn’t love the salad…It was a little bit too sour for me. But loved the Canestri alla Vodka pasta and absolutely died after eating the carrot cake which is a must try!🤤 and all that for less than $40! Sold.

great service, servers were attentive yet mindful

A campy vibe in this Italian themed spot with lots of well prepared favorites like carbonara, pizza and caesar.
Friendly efficient staff and reasonable prices.

Nice surprise as we fell upon this place. Was quiet when we arrived, but soon filled up showing its a hit with the locals. A few happy hour starters and a pizza more than filled us up! The guy who served us was a breath of fresh air. Efficient, knowledgeable and most of all prevented us from over ordering!

My son and his GF invited me for brunch at Piano Piano today, May 10, 2026 to celebrate Mother's Day. We arrived at approx. 10 am. We ordered. We had coffees. We waited; 10:30 am came and passed; 11:00 came and passed; 11:30 came and passed; 12 noon came and passed. At 12:30, I was angry. My son did not want to say anything. I mentioned this to a waiter, who mentioned it to someone else. Another guy came, apologized and apologized. They had given flowers to each table. I left the flowers. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS! THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO GO ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A VISIBLE MINORITY. I NOTICED THAT 'WHITES' WERE BEING SERVED; THEY WERE EATING AND WE I.E. (MY SON, HIS GF AND I WHO WERE ALL NON-WHITES) WERE BASICALLY IGNORED. THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO GO; THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK; I LOOKED AT THE FOOD; NO VARIETY; THE FOOD LOOKED BLAH. EVENTUALLY A GUY BROUGHT THE PIZZA, IT LOOKS BLAND AND DEAD. I LEFT IT SINCE I WAS FILLED WITH COFFEE AND THE WAIT WAS TOO LONG AND I HAD NO APPETITE TO EAT AT THIS PLACE OR TO SPEND ANOTHER SECOND IN THIS PLACE. MY SON WHO IS PATIENT DECIDED TO ACCEPT THE WAITER'S OFFER TO TAKE IT AWAY. I PROMPTLY TOLD MY SON TO DASH IT AWAY. I VISITED MANY RESTAURANTS AND I MUST SAY - PIANO, PIANO LOCATED AT 88 HARBORD STREET, TORONTO IS THE WORST! THEY SHOULD JUST PLAY PIANO MUSIC AND FORGET ABOUT BEING A RESTAURANT.

Very disappointing experience, especially for what was supposed to be a birthday celebration.

I made a reservation and even mentioned it was for a birthday, yet no one informed us that a mandatory 20% gratuity would be added. I understand many restaurants apply this for larger parties, but it should be clearly communicated in advance, which it wasn’t.

We were also charged a $6 cake plating fee per person. With 7 people, that came to $42 just for bringing our own cake. Had I known beforehand, I would have simply ordered dessert from the restaurant instead.

What made it worse was the lack of service. Used plates and napkins were never cleared, the table remained messy, and aside from bringing the cake and lighting the candles, there was virtually no service.

We also asked the server to pack two tiramisu for takeout, but when I got home and opened the box, it looked like it had just been dumped inside the container, completely ruining the presentation and my appetite.

When the bill arrived, the server simply placed it on the table without mentioning the mandatory 20% gratuity or the cake fee. If I had not checked carefully, we wouldn’t even have noticed.

Unfortunately, this experience makes it very difficult for me to consider returning in the future.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday at this Piano Piano location and I had the most amazing time!!
For starters, the staff were so friendly and very professional. My group took the family style menu, and our server made sure that all allergies were accommodated. Additionally, they provided us with a great variety of signature dishes that allowed everyone to have a taste of different foods.
The food was delicious and with good portion sizes (we even took some home!).
The restaurant is well located, with lots of street parking close by, and TTC accessibility.
Would definitely come back for more celebrations!!

We visited this location for Winterlicious and I felt that it was extremely worth the $34!

For appetizers, we tried one of each option, and we both enjoyed the meat plate more than the focaccia with whipped ricotta topping or something like that. The cheese was overly sweet and I almost thought I had bitten into a dessert at first taste. The meats, however, were salty and delicious, and they even made the focaccia appetizer taste better when paired together. The portion was also decent!

Onto the mains, we shared the mushroom cavatelli and a sausage pizza (I forgot the name), both of which were delicious! We had half of the pizza leftover as well which they packaged in a very cute pink pizza box to take away.

Finally, the desserts were the star of the show for me, but specifically the carrot cake! Personally, I didn’t really like the tiramisu because of the presentation (it came in a small clear cup and didn’t look that nice), as well as the overly sweet hazelnut taste. The carrot cake, however, thoroughly impressed us and had the perfect amount of ice cream, custard, and frosting to pair with the cake. The presentation of it was so grand and made it feel way more worthy than the small cup of tiramisu!

Overall, we had a great experience dining here and I felt like we got a steal for quality and quantity of food. I would definitely be back for a nice lunch or dinner!

We are long time repeat customers at Piano Piano. Today we decided to take advantage of their Winterlicious lunch menu. We got the San Danielle Prosciutto and whipped ricotta on foccia.

Mains, we got 3. Mushroom Cavetelli, Shrimp Casarecce alla Diavola, and the Spaniard Pizza. Amazing food and excellent service.

We will be back for sure.

We celebrated our 10-year anniversary at Piano Piano Harbord and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The team was outstanding from start to finish—attentive, warm, and truly firing on all cylinders. The food, atmosphere, and service made the night feel special and effortless. A memorable experience we’ll be talking about for a long time. Highly recommend.

This is the newer location in the Crows Theatre at Dundas and Carlaw. Having purchased tickets for a play at the theatre we made reservations for dinner. Also we had really enjoyed the previous restaurant Gare de L’Est. We were apprehensive after reading 2 previous very negative reviews about Piano Piano. But the moment we stepped through the warm entrance we were immediately greeted by Nancy who escorted us to our cosy table in the lounge-bar area. She quickly and efficiently informed us of the happy hour and the menu. Our drinks arrived and then Alex took over and helped us with any questions about the menu and gave me an excellent choice of a dairy free pasta dish. The guys ordered the spicy shrimp diavola and I had the mushroom cavatelli all great choices , not your everyday pastas cooked perfectly lots of flavour. Alex constantly checked us and the other tables as well. Wonderful ambience and decor. Extremely happy with our decision to give it a try. Friendly and professional staff, looking forward to trying other items on the menu. We will definitely return. A pleasant evening all around. Highly recommend!

Lovely atmosphere but tables very close together service was very good an pleasant but the food was very disappointing. The 40 dollar lunch we ordered the calamari very small portion, nothing special my friend ordered the burata cheese it came with oily grapes an deep fried bread then came the pizza acidy tomatoe sauce lumps of cheese an limp crust terrible. The tiramisu was very good but obviously not made in house. Over priced could not recommend nor would we go again.

I celebrated my birthday here. The girls and i love a good Italian meal and are always on the hunt for good Italian restaurants. We enjoyed the appetizers, pizzas and pastas. The egg ravioli was soo good and would love to come again for pastas if theres better service. The service was absolutely terrible!! The guts of these guys charging you gratuity of 18% 20% for not actually providing good service is ridiculous!! We are not obliged to pay you tip for horrible service!! And just because you have a rule to charge for a party of 6 or more by default doesn’t mean u don’t actually provide good service!!!

We had a great date night at Piano Piano Harbord!
We walked by and booked a table with AJ the receptionist who was super helpful. Our server Sky was also very friendly and efficient!
We ordered the house salad and substituted the Caesar dressing on the bottom (instead of ranch) which was super yummy.
For mains I ordered the mushroom cavatelli and my hubby ordered the roast chicken both were great.
It is a bit noisy in the restaurant but it has a nice vibe!
We will be back!

I visited for lunch while on vacation in Toronto and, as an Italian working in high-end hospitality, I was truly impressed by the quality of the food, the thoughtful selection of dishes, and the outstanding service provided by Skye. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

This spot was perfect for our dinner with a toddler in the mix. Appreciated that they had a kids menu, and the kid portion was actually quite large. The food in general was actually pretty tasty too - the veal parmesan was delicious and a good potion size, the egg yolk ravioli was incredible, the Caesar salad was very tasty (loved the massive croutons and the pork belly on it was very good). The atmosphere is kind of giving the needs to be refreshed feel but it's fine. Server was super lovely and friendly. Overall a great experience.

Great Italian (not American-Italian) place with a slightly upscale vibe. Simple foods that let the ingredients speak for themselves. I thoroughly enjoyed the espresso and amaro after my meal.

I went to Piano Piano with a group and we shared our dishes family style. The food overall was very good and price was reasonable. The pasta were cooked al dente and their famous Neapolitan style pizza did not disappoint. The dessert was also good but not outstanding is my opinion. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The noise in the restaurant was loud and seating was tight.

Piano Piano is hands down one of the best dining experiences around! The service was excellent from start to finish, warm, attentive, and professional. The menu has so much variety, and everything we tried was full of flavour with generous portions. The pizza is absolutely outstanding, perfectly crisp, with incredible toppings. Meatballs are yummy and you gotta try the caviar donut! The location is fantastic too, making it a great spot for both a night out or a special occasion. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Italian food with a modern, welcoming vibe. Delicious!

Piano Piano offers such a charming ambience – warm, lively, and perfect for a night out. 🍷 I started with the Piano Spirit and Refreshing My Memories cocktails, both beautifully crafted and refreshing. The Spagatony Tre Colore was rich and perfectly balanced, while the Spaniard pizza had bold flavors that stood out. To finish, the cream puff was light, airy, and the sweetest ending to a wonderful meal. A truly memorable dining experience!

Been here many times. I love their bar tender Phil he always has great energy! There's a vibe to this place and reservations are recommended. The lounge seating by the bar area is the best spot to be. Im terms of menu items: I recommend the FunGuy pizza and the ravioli Bolognese is on point and quite filling! The ribeye though needs improvement - its one of the most expensive items on the menu and I've ordered it twice and both times at medium temperature it came out dry and chewy so probably not the best meat. I also find the host/hostess needs to work on being a lot more welcoming and warm toward guests. Ive observed a chip on their shoulder one too many times and its not appreciated. The servers and bartenders though are amazing people. Also the patio is very basic and needs Investment in better furniture and planters to create a vibe outdoor as well. Piano Piano is a good addition to the Oakville downtown area for casual dining.

We did a full restaurant buyout for our wedding dinner and reception. Some details about our event specifically; our wedding was on a Friday and we had 56 guests total (but the restaurant can accommodate up to 90 I think?). We always loved the food here and thought what better place to host our wedding celebration than at a restaurant we really enjoy (wedding life hack btw)! Our events coordinator was Victoria, and she was such a pleasure to deal with. Responsive, accommodating, compassionate and beyond all else transparent! We tried to rework the floorplan what feels like 10 times, Victoria and her team were more than patient with us throughout the planning process. Among all the different meal options available, we did the family style menu, and it was PERFECT! We were so concerned about food waste, but the staff packaged all the leftovers from the shared plates (and even put our custom wedding sticker on top) for guests to take home at the end of the night, there were at least 30 takeout boxes ready for guests to take home. If you're considering this option, just know there will be PLENTY of food. The portions were extremely generous! Beyond the food, they even allowed us to bring in a full blow DJ and Audio Visual set up! My husband and I are big ravers, and Piano Piano was more than accommodating with our requests to turn the restaurant into what felt like a nightclub. Lasers, massive speakers, fog machine etc. The staff working at the event were amazing, top notch customer service all around. The bartenders were such a vibe, the managers present were super accommodating and ensured everything went perfectly! If you're looking for a venue space to host a big event, let this be your sign to book this restaurant!

Location: Right on Harbord west of Spadina, you will notice the facade first. This is one of several locations. Parking can be had on side streets but comply with the restrictions.
Decor: Modern and spacious inside. Unlike some places where you feel uncomfortable being squeezed, this place is relaxing with a large interior, high ceilings, but not at a loss of intimacy.
Service: So patient, friendly and genuine, this was one of the best attributes of the evening (for our larger group).
Food: I heard it said that, as much as people love Italian food, sometimes people don’t think they will see the value in ordering items that they think are too familiar. I found that even items you might think you know come out with a slight twist. It’s familiar, tasty but done a little differently. We ordered a full range from appetizers to dessert and I had no complaints. Flavours are rich, texture and temperatures were complimentary to the dish.
Prices were reasonable for a downtown meal.
Overall. We enjoyed it and would recommend.
