It is a lovely store..however my husband was wanting to buy an item that it turned out was in the catalog but not carried in the store.He asked the 2 ladies at the front area and they just brushed him off.Not interested at all..don't have it and can't help you. No polite customer service, totally disinterested..disappointing for a brand we love. Found a satisfactory item on Amazon .We tried.

I visited L.L.Bean for the first time today with my friend, and honestly, it was a huge disappointment. We were simply taking ONE quick mirror selfie — we weren’t loud, we weren’t blocking anyone, and we definitely weren’t disturbing the store in any way.

But suddenly a lady (staff or manager, not sure who she was) rudely interrupted us and told us it’s “against the policy” to take pictures. Really? We weren’t in a fitting room, and there were no signs posted anywhere saying photos aren’t allowed. She acted like we were doing something wrong when all we did was take a simple picture for ourselves. We felt targeted and disrespected for absolutely no reason.

This was our first time at L.L.Bean, and sadly, it will be the last. If this is how you treat customers, especially those just trying to enjoy their shopping experience, then don’t expect them to come back. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Great service from Alma & Sarah yesterday (April 23)
I was greeted upon arrival and both sales associates were very knowledgeable of the store and products in guiding me to the UPF50+ products for both men and women.
They both assisted me with size selection, finding the shirts I liked and the change room; very helpful! They were good (and patient) at suggesting sizing shirts for my spouse too, as I shared pictures via text.

Great service, great products. Nice to see and have positive and professional staff that were genuinely nice and helpful.

Lastly, they were good at explaining the return policy and I thought the store was nicely laid out, clean and organized.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Christine in the Kingston Ontario store for all her help. She went above and beyond to help me find the perfect coat for my granddaughter. She loved it and it was a perfect fit.

Stuff in store are mostly high quality. Impressed. But the male staff threw my jacket on the ground while I wen to try on other clothes and left my clothes on the goods shelf. I hold my temper at the moment since I was in a hurry going home for work. I understand staff may get exhausted folding the shirts again and again after people tried and don’t manage to fold them. However, I fold my tried clothes, also, no one has the right to throw anyone’s clothes on the ground without asking whose belonging it is. Genuinely hope this would never happen again.
