Dr. Dyess has performed research in Type 1 diabetes and exercise management. His passion stems from his diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes as a child. Growing up with diabetes and realizing the struggles and successes that can come with such a diagnosis led him to get his medical degree from Ross University Medical Center in the Caribbean. He then completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga followed by pediatric endocrinology training at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
