Been hearing this place for a long time and finally have the chance to come. Must say this is the best pizza in Toronto! Came with a high expectation and did not disappoint. The pizza is flavourful and crispy. The dough it’s not too thick like bread. Customer service was friendly and was able to get our order in a timely manner (came on weekday 4pm, no wait).

We ordered pepperoni, margarita and mushroom. My favourite would be the mushroom, the combination of caramelized onion, cheese and mushroom it’s the best combo.

They make a great pie. Might even be worth waiting for.

We were raised on NYC and Long Island pizza and bagels. When those are your starting points it is almost not fair to compare other area offerings to these Tri-State Area staples. But alas, this is what we do!

We find ourselves north of the border several times a year and when in Toronto Badiali is our slice place of choice. Depending on the time of year you visit the slice line can be 30 minutes or longer, but if you know the drill and order a whole pie ahead of time (two days is the usual, if you try and order one day ahead you are likely to get shut out) you can arrive at its expected time and then it’s all deliciousness from there! This most recent visit we ordered our pie two days ahead for a 2:15 p.m. pick up and upon arrival at 2:12 p.m. it was ready to leave the oven and be sliced. We found a table (lucky us) and by the time we were done nothing was left. Now you may ask, why four stars not five, simply stated sometimes the slices are not up to their high level of excellence based on the crowds and also depending on the cycle you hit, but the whole pie leaves no questions to be asked!

Worst experience in my life at a Pizzeria. I walked in at 10:02 and Iinstead of being greeted I was abruptly told to leave. The crazy part was there was so many slices of pizza left over. There was only 2 or 3 people waiting for a slice including a family in front of us with small kids which were also kicked out. I wouldn't treat my worst enemy like that, let alone a customer!! I usually only go on these platforms to give good reviews but this place honestly shocked me.

Had Badiali a couple months ago and definitely have to say it lives up to the hype. And they have a second location with seating too

Pizza had a nice undercarriage that’s perfectly baked and the ingredients tasted fresh and went well with the pizza. I tried the salami hot pepper and the vodka slices. Both top tier.

Service was quick. Even with a lineup after 5 minutes of opening. They do have a few standing bar seating spots but if y out re patient, you will get a spot as these slice are scarfed down fairly quickly by everyone and then they are out. Even with that they have come up with a streamlined process to turn customers over and get their orders quickly

Parking is quite difficult as it is in a somewhat residential neighborhood. There is street parking but it is paid parking and the spots get filled up really quick.

Great job overall

As a Montrealer I am always fascinated with Torontonians food obsessions. Gave this place a whirl while in Toronto. Overrated doesn't even begin to describe it. So basic. Good pizza but not worth the hype. Prefer north of Brooklyn.

Pizzeria Badiali is, without exaggeration, the best pizza I’ve ever had — not just in Toronto, but anywhere. I’ve been going for years and I’ve never once had a bad slice or even a mediocre experience. The quality is consistently outstanding, from the perfectly crisp yet chewy crust to the rich, flavorful toppings that taste fresh and perfectly balanced.
One thing that really sets it apart is that the pizza reheats incredibly well — it still tastes just as amazing the next day as it does when bought fresh, which says a lot about the quality. Don't sleep on their sauces - the creamy pepperoncini sauce is amazing and pairs excellently with the vodka slice!
Now that they’ve opened their second location, somehow they’ve managed to make an already amazing experience even better. Everything still runs smoothly, the slices are just as incredible, and the standard hasn’t dropped at all.
It’s honestly no surprise they’ve had major recognition and collaborations with brands like Miss Vickie's and even Shake Shack — the quality speaks for itself. It’s the kind of place you keep going back to because nothing else quite compares. Simple menu, no gimmicks, just genuinely exceptional pizza every single time. When people are lining up in the rain or snow for it, you know the pizza is something special. Thank you, Badiali-wish I could give them more than just 5 stars. 🍕🍕🍕

Pizzeria Badiali, located at Argyle and Dovercourt, is a popular Pizzeria with line-ups of up to 30 minutes to an hour. The service is exceptionally fast, with slices continuously being cooked and refilled. Customers have the option to order by the slice or the whole pizza.

During our visit, we ordered the Pepperoni slice and Capicola and Pineapple slice, along with a Hot Honey dip. The slices were provided in a paper bag with paper plates for separation and were still fairly hot when received. We liked the options that we chose, and the Hot Honey dip was a delicious add-on! We would come back again to try the other menu options like Salami and Hot Pepper, Mushroom Bianco, and Marinara. The pizzeria offers salads such as Caesar Salad or Chopped Salad and dips such as Creamy Pepperoncini (3.75oz), Green Garlic Ranch (3.75oz), and Hot Honey (2oz). Summer outdoor seating is limited, with about 6 tiny tables, each seating about 2 people, and is in high demand. There is also the option to purchase merchandise. The service was excellent, and transactions were seamless, with the convenience of accepting credit cards.

Do note, you can pre-order the pizza by the whole pie via the website to save time. They allow you to order up to 3 days ahead with the time slots available, select the pizzas and the time slot. Afterwards, you can skip the line and go ahead to look for your order. The slices are for walk-in only, no pre-order allowed. Fun fact, they have also opened a new location on Markham Street near Bathurst Station on May 11, 2026.

Stopped in for a couple of slices of pizza after seeing long line ups and hearing it was great pizza and worth the wait.

We lucked out and stopped in mid-afternoon, no line up, no waiting (though they opened a second location on the day we were there and it was a weekday).

Service was quick and friendly, pizza was excellent. From the line ups we saw you might be better off pre-ordering online for pick up (even slices) since pre-orders skip the line to go in and grab their food.

They have about 6 tables outside for seating. Plan to eat standing up or walking, unless you’re there when it’s not busy.

It was worth checking out, though I wouldn’t likely wait 45-60 minutes for pizza… which we were told is the norm there.

This Pizza restaurant is very small. You can’t really sit inside. There are 2-3 tables outside on the patio. If you don’t mind really long lineups, you will be rewarded with a really good Pizza. Your wait in line outside, could be up to 40-50 minutes or longer on some days.

They have a variety of Pizza if you want to buy by the slice, or you can order whole Pizzas to go. I ordered 2 slices of Pizza. One with Ham and Pineapple and other with Pepperoni and Peppers.

They warm the slices up in the oven before serving. The Crust was very good. It had a nice crisp and held firm. The Sauce and the toppings were quite decent. I enjoyed both slices. If you like NY styled Pizza, then this spot delivers. The hype about this place is fairly deserved.

Service was fast once you get to the counter, while prices were reasonable.

Tried Badiali Pizzeria and it definitely lives up to the hype. The pizza is amazing—crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and the vodka slice is a must-try. The flavors taste balanced, and you can tell they focus on quality in every slice.

The only downside is the long wait and limited seating, so it feels more like a grab-and-go spot than a dine-in place. The staff were friendly though, and the service moved pretty quickly once inside.

Overall, great pizza and definitely worth trying.

The pizza tastes amazing! The ingredients are always fresh, and they prepare the pizza right in front of you. This place is always packed, so expect to wait in line for about 45 minutes. But trust me the wait is absolutely worth it! 🍕my top 3 favourites are the Burrata, Vodka and Mushroom.

I’m usually a Neapolitan guy, but got the burrata slice and it was so good. A nice flavourful chewy crust but still crispy. Very well presented and sauce had flavour. And the centre was thin enough to allow flavour to come through.

The pizza is good . The crust is good well. They are thin slices. The pepperoni on the pizza was good . There was good amount of cheese on the pizza . I would recommend order beforehand. There is a long lineup . There is separate line for preorder and pick up . You can’t really sit inside and eat it crowded . The workers hand over the pizzas quickly. The slices are big. It is hard to find parking .

We purposely came to Pizzeria Badiali for its pizza, as it is one of the most highly acclaimed pizza shops in Toronto. According to the media, it was one of only two pizza shops in Canada to make it onto the Best Pizza Awards list in Milan Italy, which made it a must-visit for us.

The shop has no seating, so we stood by the windows with long thin table top to enjoy our pizza. We ordered the vodka, Hawaiian, and marinara slices, each priced at around C$5–6, which was very reasonable. The thin, crispy crust paired with flavourful sauce and generous toppings was savoury and satisfying.

The staff who took our orders was very friendly, and our order was prepared quickly despite the popularity of the place. I would recommend Pizzeria Badiali to anyone looking for great pizza in Toronto.

Be prepared to wait as queues can form quickly, we waited approximately 45 mins to be served but it was absolutely worth the wait! The vodka slice was incredible!

Light and crunchy crust, with many different types of pizzas to choose from. I had a Vodka and a Cacio e Pepe. I really liked the Vodka one. The kids loved the Margherita. And I tasted the Mushroom Bianco which ended up being my favorite. Also tried the Creamy Pepperonci dip, which was good but overpowered the pizza. About 2 slices was good per person. Go early as a line will form.

There was a long queue outside since we went on the weekend, and people were waiting patiently. But as soon as it was our turn, we got our pizzas very quickly. The thin-crust pizzas were delicious, and we really enjoyed our time sitting outside and eating them while they were still warm.

One of the best pizza spots in Toronto — hands down! Badiali absolutely lives up to the hype. The pizza is perfection: thin, crispy crust with just the right chew, flavorful tomato sauce, and high-quality toppings that taste super fresh.

I tried the classic pepperoni slice and a margherita — both were incredible. You can tell everything is made with care and great ingredients. The vibe is very New York–style, casual and cool, and the staff are friendly even when the line gets long (which it often does — a good sign!)

It’s a small spot, so grab-and-go is easiest, but totally worth the wait. If you love great pizza, Badiali is a must-try in Toronto

Besttttttt pizza slices in the city! Honestly, Pizzeria Badiali completely lives up to the hype. The vodka slice is hands down the best, just the right amount of sauce, and that creamy, rich flavor that makes every bite amazing.

We also tried the pepperoni and the burrata marinara, and they were both incredible in their own way. The pepperoni has that classic, slightly spicy flavor with a great crunch, and the burrata marinara is super fresh and flavorful, with the burrata adding that extra creamy touch.

Yes, there’s usually a long line, but trust me, it’s absolutely worth the wait. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and really care about what they’re making.

If you’re a pizza lover (or even if you’re not!), this place is a must-try. I’d go back in a heartbeat just for that vodka slice! 🍕🔥

Had to stop in and try a Toronto icon. Badiali did not disappoint. I had the Vodka slice which was delicious and they don’t lie about the line out the door. Small corner pizza shop and it’s all about the pizza biz in there. One counter one oven and just pumping out pizza. I was around the corner for que took me about 15 mins from lining up to pizza in hand walked down the street to the park and sat on a bench to enjoy. Will definitely be back on my travels to Toronto

Finally made it out to Pizza Badiali — the place that’s somehow managed to collect more hype than most Michelin-starred restaurants in Toronto. Portnoy gave it a high score. Locals talk about it like it cured their trust issues. So, I went.

Tuesday evening. Thought I’d beat the crowd.
Wrong. The line was already halfway to Mississauga. Expectations? Raised, whether I liked it or not.

The idea was simple: grab a slice or two, see what the fuss was about. What happened was less restrained:

2 Cheese
1 Margherita
1 Burrata Marinara
1 Cacio e Pepe

No real regrets. Ate like a man who’d just escaped a juice cleanse.

Hard to pick a favorite — the Margherita and Cheese were neck and neck, both deserving of their own dedicated evening, and had I not lied to myself, a part of me wanted to go back in for a couple of slices more.
The other three were far from filler. Just... louder. More opinionated. But no misses.

Is it the best pizza in Toronto? Could be.
Is it overhyped? Am not sure anymore.

Pro Tip:
Order them all.
Save the guilt for another day.

Was the pizza good? Yes, it was. At $6 a slice, it had no right to be bad. But was it worth standing in line for an hour and a half? Not at all, because I’m sure you can get the same pizza with the same quality elsewhere without waiting in line. Another point is that the shop owner’s policy is to create crowds and make a line, otherwise with simple management they could easily prevent people’s time from being wasted.

Badiali is hands down one of the best pizza places in Toronto and every slice was worth the wait (1 hour standing in line).

We ordered one of each and they were all amazing, but our favourite was the Cacio E Pepe.

The crust of their pizza is perfectly crunchy and absolutely delightful with every bite.

You can’t find a pizza this good anywhere else—but the real question is, can you beat the test of strength? (Standing in line for an hour or more!)
