Under the guidance of engineering genius and all around great guy, Ian Kilborn, the space has been transformed into a state of the art indoor climbing facility. Some of the historical flavor of the Boiler Room has been preserved not only in the name of the gym, but in its construction as well. Took my nephew here for his birthday and he had a blast. The instructor was very helpful, since I was new, and was very patient explaining how the ropes and harnesses worked, and letting us know which walls we should climb as beginners. Looked like there was lots of advanced walls as well, and I look forward to tackling those another time!
