I went through fertility testing at Shady Grove for secondary infertility. I was about to start an IUI cycle with them when I got pregnant naturally. Since I was already a patient they did my first two ultrasounds. At ten weeks it was discovered that my baby no longer had a heartbeat. I was very unhappy with the way my miscarriage with Shady Grove was handled. Two months after going through medication to pass the pregnancy they suggested a hysteroscopy to remove remaining POC. I was not prepared for how this procedure would be handled. I was given a valium 30 min prior to the in office procedure- which barely affected me. I was in the stirrups for over an hour while the dr scraped and removed tissue from my uterus. I was in pain the entire procedure and the dr and nursing staff had to leave the room several times for additional supplies, lengthening the time of the procedure. They did not feel prepared and it made the whole experience traumatizing. My husband did not want me returning to the office because of how unprepared and unprofessional the procedure seemed. The next day they called saying they wanted to do the procedure again after my next menstrual cycle. I told them I needed to consult with my OB.

After talking to my regular OB she was shocked by the fact that they performed the hysteroscopy and D&C in office without anesthesia. She also said that there is no reason to have multiply hysteroscopy/D&Cs if my HCG levels had returned to negative. I didnt return to Shady Grove because of how traumatized the situation left me.

While I cant speak directly to their fertility care since I never went through a fertility cycle, I would highly recommend care elsewhere if you experience a pregnancy loss.

There are not enough words to express my gratitude to the SGF Wexford team. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is spectacular. The ultrasound techs, nurses, receptionists, phlebotomists, everyone. I transferred to SGF after 6 months at a different REI and it was the best decision I ever made. I love the fact that at Shady Grove you are assigned to 1 nurse, 1 doctor, and 1 financial coordinator -- this made it feel like a personalized team of experts that were not only IVF experts, but experts on my specific file and scenario!

in March and are forever grateful to the Shady Grove Wexford team! The entire staff was so kind and made us feel cared for, they were genuinely happy for our success. We were lucky enough to work with Dr. Nguyen, and NP Dana made the appointments feel like chatting with a friend— I actually missed our visits when it was all over! Shady Grove was recommended to me by a friend from their positive experience. From the moment my husband and I met with Dr Green, I finally felt heard. She was absolutely wonderful and took the time to explain our options and test results in a way that no one else had done previously. Their online system is wonderful to track your treatments and next steps and the emailing between financial advisors and your care team is perfect for busy couples. Navigating infertility is overwhelming, but Shady Grove Wexford does a fantastic job from the moment you step through the doors. Everyone at the front desk and scheduling are wonderfully kind. We had a disappointing cycle this weekend and I had many questions about what happened, before I could even reach out to the clinic, Dr Green called me to review the data and talk next steps. Would highly recommend to anyone navigating infertility.
