Disappointing experience at Nando’s.

We were told that the chicken would take about 30 minutes, which we completely understood and didn’t mind waiting for. However, when it took considerably longer, we went to the counter to politely ask about our order. Unfortunately, the response from the lady at the counter was very arrogant: “Can’t you see it’s on the grill!!”

That kind of response is simply not acceptable when speaking to customers. We were not complaining about the wait—we just wanted an update.

The restaurant itself also needs attention. The tables were very sticky, there were flies everywhere, and the overall cleanliness was disappointing. We also overheard cleaners speaking to each other in a way that came across as disrespectful and unprofessional.

The chicken itself was good, but sadly, the service really took away from the experience. Customer service, cleanliness, and basic respect should be a priority.

The Caesar salad was another disappointment. The bread crumbs were spongy, there was barely any dressing, and overall it just didn’t taste fresh or enjoyable.

We really hope management takes this feedback seriously. Nando’s has good food, but good food alone isn’t enough—customers should also receive friendly, respectful service in a clean and welcoming environment.Disappointing experience

We stopped by Nando’s Peri-Peri Chicken while dropping our friend off at YYC before her holiday. We really enjoyed the chicken and rice—it was delicious! The restaurant had a nice vibe too. We’ll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends.

What a special night at Nando’s Calgary! Chef Nikki and her wonderful family are on a whirlwind trip through the Rockies, and I’m so touched they carved out time from their packed schedule to have dinner with me before flying back to the Philippines.

We dug into a half chicken, a big plate of wings, and corn on the side—all delicious as always. But honestly, the food took a backseat to just laughing and catching up face-to-face after so long.

Quick heads-up: we hit peak dinner hour, so expect a lineup out the door. It moves fairly fast, but plan accordingly!

Kind cashier and host. Bit of a wait for our takeout order (lots of DoorDashers constantly coming thru) but our was hot and tasty. Chicken was not crispy, not sure it was supposed to be. It tasted good but not what we originally expected. Looking forward to eating in next time to see what its like fresh out of the kitchen vs in a take out bag for 15mins as we drove to the park.

We had the Double Leg (medium) with Peri Fries, and Chicken Wrap with Peri Mac. Good flavour and an acceptable amount of spice. Staff was mostly friendly from welcoming to ordering. The restaurant was about 70% full, mix of singles, couples and families. Seemed like a decent play to eat in, if we had the time.
