I arrived at 10am and there were 8 people in line and three workers supposedly taking blood and it still managed to take 45 minutes before they took my blood. For one brief moment all three were all taking blood at the same time but the rest of the time they were pottering about doing anything but take blood. I am a nurse and if I worked at their speed I would resign in shame.

Well run and efficient, and the wait was minimal. This is a very busy clinic, but the front line staff handle this capably.
The technician found my vein very easily and the blood test was painless, this is quite unusual because I have very small veins. I also had an ECG and the process was quick and over in no time.
Maybe it depends on what time of day one goes to the clinic .... I went at around 10:15AM and had no problems.

Arrived at 7:30 a.m. hoping to get to work just a little late. Doors only open at 8 am and there were already 20 people in line. I guess my diagnosis and my health can afford to wait.

This branch is on the first floor of a medical building at Bank and Kilborn. I've been to a number of them in the area, and this one seems to have the shortest wait times and the nicest staff who actually KNOW how to find a vein. I choose this one over the others in the area.

The staff are usually snarly
and unprofessional.

Find this clinic unprofessional...it is like a store front. Hours are only suited for someone not working as you can't get in until after 8 a.m. PLUS...the staff are warm and comfortable inside but they refuse to open the doors until the alloted hour, there are no seats outside in the cold and the mostly older people are forced to stand. I would presume that this company could if they wanted improve on this situation in the future...I will look for somewhere else to go. I was there at 7:30 and had to wait 30 minutes in the cold....I have gone later and waited 1 1/2 hours to have blood tests, it is hard to know what to do?

I was trying to find working hours on the Web, but no success. I tried the phone number 613-733-4596 for 1385 Bank street, Ottawa, in order to find out working hours but after several rings the fax machine was on!!
