She received her bachelor's degree in microbiology and immunology at University of Wisconsin-Madison and studied abroad in Glasgow, Scotland for one year. She then worked and volunteered in hospitals for two years, traveling in her spare time to China, England, Ireland, Portugal and Italy. Dr. Simpkins earned her master's degree in biomedical science from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and later received her medical degree at Chicago Medical School. She then completed her pediatrics residency at Lutheran General Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. She studies heavily in the area of adolescent medicine and loves taking care of her teenage patients, although feels comfortable with children of all ages. Dr. Simpkins has two young daughters, who are her greatest pride and joy. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys traveling, the outdoors, playing volleyball, riding bikes, the beach, eating good food, spending time with her husband and daughters, and cheering on her Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. I have been taking my son to dr simpkins now going on 3 years and she is great and now my newborn daughter goes to her as well. She is very caring, understanding and helpful when it comes to babies. She is thorough and very educated in her career. I personally love her and wouldn’t choose anyone else

When Dr. Langevin moved from the practice, we already had somewhat of a relationship with Dr. Simpkins so I knew right away we weren't going anywhere. She is a caring, compassionate, and amazing pediatrician. She treats my son with respect and assures him he can talk with her comfortably. And he trusts her very much, as well as I do.

Dr. Simpkins called my mom and told her to go to a "MedCheck to spend money in order to not get medicine" then she hung up on her. We will never be going with her again, and we hope that anyone else won't get hurt as bad as she hurt my mom.
