My husband and I stopped in at Whataburger at 9505 Metcalf for lunch earlier this week. We hadn't had a Whataburger meal since leaving El Paso some months ago, and we were missing it. What a delightful experience we had here!

HUGE kudos to Matthew Hardesty at the register for guiding us through the menu; there were several items that were new to us and we really appreciate his assistance. He was friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and served us our meals after we sat down. THANK YOU for your hospitality, Matthew!

The food definitely was as good as we remember! I had the bacon cheeseburger Whataburger Jr. meal, and my husband had the patty melt meal. All the food was hot, fresh, and totally delicious! We really like the "sideboard" of ketchups, other condiments, napkins and such that Matthew brought with our meals. It reminded us of the old-style diners, which is a good thing. We completely devoured every crumb and enjoyed every moment of our lunch. Fabulous food!

Many thanks to Whataburger and your personnel for giving us such a lovely experience returning to your restaurant chain! We'll be back as soon as we can!!

Spot on! Great food, great price, and great service.

I've been a big Whataburger fan since age 5 or so, and this location did everything right. No complaints. The junior chicken strip sandwich combo is such a great value. Do y'all know you can upsize fries and the drink to a medium for cents??
Size Medium at Whataburger = PLENTY for one person. Pro tip!

The employee at the drive thru window was absolutely precious.

Pleasantly surprised to discover this place around the corner from my hotel in Kansas, of all places! Tastes like home. Thank you!

I left feedback for this issue through the link on the receipt; no one from the store had the courtesy to respond as requested on the feedback page.

Cashier in the drive-thru rolled her eyes at me when I politely asked for my receipt; I needed the actual credit card receipt and not just the order chit on the bag. She acted like it was such an imposition to give me something so simple. Though I'm positive I saw her crumple up and throw away receipt that came off the printer as soon as my card was charged initially before I could even ask. She had to print it again. If it's such a hard thing to give someone a receipt, I'll save the employees some trouble and just not get food there anymore.

I decided to finally see what the buzz was about and stopped into the Whataburger in Overland Park for a quick lunch. Having heard numerous positive remarks, I was curious to experience it firsthand. The restaurant presented a standard fast-food ambiance, but I found it to be notably clean. Service was prompt and friendly, and I was seated and served within a remarkably short time.

I opted for the special mushroom Swiss burger, fries, and a drink, along with a banana pudding shake that caught my eye. The burger was indeed substantial, larger than what you’d typically find at other fast-food chains. It was also quite greasy, which, while not a detractor for me, is worth noting. The richness of the burger was undeniable. The fries were a highlight—perfectly cooked and surprisingly non-greasy. The banana pudding shake, while not exceptional, was adequate.

Overall, my experience at Whataburger was positive. The food was flavorful and the service efficient. I would certainly consider returning should I encounter another Whataburger location.

Very clean location that has all the modern features but also comes with fast and friendly service. I had the fish sandwich and it did not disappoint. Food was fresh and well prepared, drink area was clean and well stocked. It made for a fun lunch experience.
