Following board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner, Kristi practiced in the field of nephrology from 2002-2005. She then began training with Central West Virginia Dermatology in October 2005. Kristi has been working in the field of dermatology for fifteen years. In October 2010, she opened her own practice, Dermatology Outreach, LLC. Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with specialized advanced education and clinical competency to provide health and medical care for diverse populations in a variety of settings. Nurse Practitioners practice independently and in collaboration with health care professionals and other individuals to diagnose, treat and manage the patient's health problems. The autonomous nature of the nurse practitioner's advanced clinical practice requires accountability for health care outcomes.
