I came in today for the first time wanting to try two of the breakfast sandwiches. I was greeted by a young gentleman on cash who was very polite and respectful and had great customer service. I paid for my two breakfast sandwiches and waited by the side for my order, I noticed there was a young lady who was preparing the food as well as my two sandwiches .. and there was another person sweeping near by who she said something to in her language and when I turned towards him he was looking straight at me and said no words and this is where I started to feel uncomfortable.. as well as feeling stereotyped for no reason at all. I also asked her some questions about the food only to be returned with a rude answer back.. thatโs when I just stopped engaging. Also, after finishing my order i witnessed her wipe her nose on the back of her hand as my order was being finalized. I come home now to enjoy my breakfast sandwich only to find an egg shell inside of my bagel. Not sure if this was intentional you tell me? Terrible customer service and rudeness on her part.

Great bagels/sandwiches and friendly service ๐ especially Ari and Ellie, both are very thoughtful and upbeat. The Coconut Bagel and the Roast Beef Melt are my all-time favorites! Super popular place, often bustling but worth the wait!! ๐คฉ๐

Amazing bagels in The Beaches that honestly rival NYCโs. The Morning Buzz bagel is amazing and the chilli honey ๐ฏ is the cherry on top! Thereโs always a line out the door on Saturdays, but it usually goes by quick.

I walked here in about a 1 minute walk from where I was parked and it was a sweet walk staring into local business stores and little trinkets along the way. Such a charming location at the Beaches!! I ordered a bagel with salmon cream cheese and added tomatoes and capers to it + I ordered a vanilla cream cold brew with oat milk. It was delicious because it wasn't very sweet and had the perfect ratio of coffee to milk. My total was roughly $25. Now I dont know how most people feel about that? But, I was a little shocked. Anyways, the bagel was super tasty although I could've done with a little bit less cream cheese. The flavors were there and i enjoyed this breakfast.

I am SO disappointed. It was my first time ordering from here & I was really excited that I found a local bagel / sandwich shop. My boyfriend & I both got the Bagel Club Sandwich & the toppings looked soooo good but the bagels were both hard & super stale. Not at all what I expected. And then I TURNED IT OVER. I'm sorry but who in their right mind consumes this much coarse salt?!?! Like, I love salt, but I think if I accidentally consumed this bite I would actually turn into prosciutto (I got the rosemary bagel by the way). I believe you guys can do better because the good reviews on here are giving me FOMO.

I have been here a significant amount of time and yet always forget to get a photo. You want a fine bagel breakfast sandwich this is your spot! They make one of the finest breakfast bagels in the East End. They also offer an excellent variety of cream cheese and bagels. My partner loves their bagels and if we canโt get ones from Montreal directly we get them from here. The staff are very sweet and while itโs cozy store, the fact you can see the bagels baked in the wood fire is pretty neat.

They have the best bagels hands down. I love everything about the bagels, watching them take it out of the fire - the chewiness/mild sweetness and smell. Theyโre fresh and consistent every time. They never disappoint- highly recommend. I usually get the sesame with butter or the breakfast sandwich on sesame with banana peppers & my boyfriend usually gets an appetizer bagel, a breakfast sandwich and a bagel for the walk back lol ๐ฅฏโค๏ธโจ.

Iโve owned my business in the Beaches since 2013 and Iโve been part of this neighborhood in one way or another since my teens. Iโve seen a lot of places come and go, but Bagels on Fire has always been one of the good ones. Their product is excellent and deserves the reputation it has. This review is not about the food. The food is outstanding.
This is about how a serious allergy issue was handled. The timing is not lost on me either, given that it was World Anaphylaxis Awareness Day last week. Iโve been coming here since they opened and order weekly. Between catering and regular visits I probably spend close to a thousand a year. My order is always the same because I have lifelong allergies. It is simple. No mayonnaise, no seafood/fish.
Today I walked home with my order and discovered the sandwich had mayonnaise on it. Mistakes happen. I work in a service based business myself and I know mistakes are part of the job. What matters is how you respond to them. I called right away, said I would walk back, and politely asked if they could remake it.
When I got there, the experience was honestly disappointing. I was told I must have ordered it incorrectly, even though it is the same order Iโve made every week for years. I explained calmly that this is not a preference and that eating it would make me extremely sick. The reaction I got was eye rolling and silence. The sandwich was taken out of my hands and remade using the same ingredients that had already been exposed to mayonnaise. No confirmation that anything was replaced with clean materials. No acknowledgment. The staff member would not look at me or speak to me.
Iโve attached a photo of the bagel post adjustment still with mayonnaise.
I have a young daughter with even worse food allergies than I do. After today, there is no way I could bring her here in good conscience. If this is how an allergy mistake is handled for a grown adult who knows how to advocate for themselves, a child would be in real danger.
Again, the food is excellent. But if you have a food allergy, you need to be extremely cautious here or consider avoiding it. Mistakes will happen in any food business. What matters is acknowledgment, respect, and making it right. That is what leaves a customer feeling safe and valued.
As someone who has owned a local business here longer than they have, Iโll say this plainly. Your front line can make or break you. You never know who your customer is or the reach they have in the community. A simple โweโre sorry, weโll fix it properlyโ goes a long way

Tasty Montreal style bagels, with a sweet wood fire oven taste. All of the typical cream cheese and sandwich offerings. Busy spot and takes kind of long but worth the wait. A few tables inside and out.

I must say anyone who lives in the beaches most likely has been here and if you are ever in the area definitely worth a try. The service is great and the food is delicious, itโs a perfect spot for a breakfast or brunch. With a bunch of different bagel selections ( I will be back because Iโm curious about the coconut bagel) as well as toppings, the freshly squeezed orange juice washed it down nice.

Great Montreal-style bagels. Not often you can find them in Toronto (only other comparable one is Nu Bagel). Good price as well.

Nice old school bagel shop. I got their breakfast option on a cinnamon raisin bagel and I was able to swap the bacon for an extra egg. Very happy with my meal. And they have kicking horse coffee which never disappoints. Iโd definitely come back here.

Great spot in the Beaches area!
We recently visited Bagels on Fire for a late breakfast after strolling the boardwalk. As usual upon arrival the place was lined up out the door, and service on this occasion was pretty slow. That said, once weโd secured the bagels we were not disappointed! They were fresh from the oven (wood fired, Montreal style) and slathered in a thick layer of cream cheese.
We had:
Twisted Bagel w/ Chive Cream Cheese (this is their best bagel IMO)
Pretzel Bagel w/ Herb & Garlic

This neighbourhood icon always serves up well-baked bagels. It can be busy in the morning, but the wait is never too long. Great selection of cream cheeses and specialty bagels (breakfast bagel, for example). Highly recommend!

I'm a regular here but was very surprised when I bought bagels recently and they did not appear to be fresh. The bins of bagels were filled to the top, obviously not moving so what's changed. Once I got the bagels home they appeared harder than usual. Generally when I get them the first day they can be eaten without even being toasted. The bagels appeared to be day olds. The next day even when though they had been in plastic bag they were hard as a rock. Have the owners changed? It's too bad. Was one of my favourite shops for warm freshly baked bagels.
