Can't say enough positive things about Tenafly Pediatrics. Hoboken is our home office but we've visited other locations for weekend and evening hours, and everyone is wonderful. The front desk staff, nurses and pediatricians are all wonderful, and I've never had an issue getting a same-day appointment no matter the day or hour. We love them!

Dr Tina is excellent, she has a great repoire with my teenage daughters. The support staff are friendly, knowledgeable and hard working. We r very happy with this practice.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this pediatric practice, specifically with Dr. Marcin. As a parent, I believe medical decisions for my child should involve open discussion, informed consent, and respect — not pressure or dismissal. Unfortunately, after expressing concerns and choosing to decline certain vaccinations, I felt judged rather than supported.
Instead of maintaining a respectful doctor-patient relationship, the practice chose to discontinue care, which felt especially discouraging as a parent simply trying to make informed decisions for my child. Families deserve compassionate communication and individualized care, even when there are differing viewpoints.
I understand practices have policies, but the lack of empathy and willingness to have constructive conversations left a very negative impression. I hope the office reconsiders how they approach families who have questions or alternative preferences regarding their child’s care.

I had a very difficult and upsetting experience at this office.
During our second appointment, the doctor strongly insisted on vaccinations. I explained that I am not against vaccinations, but I wanted some time to think and make an informed decision without feeling rushed. Instead of understanding, I was told that the practice would no longer accept us as patients and that I should immediately find another office.
The way this was communicated felt very abrupt and lacking empathy. As a new mother with a two-month-old baby, I was already in a vulnerable state, and this experience left me feeling unsupported and distressed. I was very emotional after the appointment and felt deeply uncomfortable with how the situation was handled.
I believe every parent should be given the space
to ask questions and make thoughtful decisions about their child’s care without feeling pressured or dismissed. Unfortunately, I did not feel that kind of support here.
Because of this experience, I would not recommend this office to parents who are looking for a more understanding and patient-centered approach.

I started coming to this practice because the location is convenient and they give you an appointment whenever my son is sick.
Dr Julia Buirkle missed my son’s ear infection on two occasions though. So after a week of him being on pain, I take him to the ENT and he had in fact a ear infection (as I had told her in fact). Please take into account this can cause hearing loss.
And doctor Ruchita recently refused to prescribe him amoxicilin to treat his ear infection, giving him just ear drops, despite the fact I told her he wasn’t eating too and that I thought he had a throat infection too. 5 days later of my son crying and losing weight, again, I go to the ENT and turns out he had pus on his throat. I specifically asked her for amoxicilin and asked her how his cold would get better with the ear drops.
I don’t know why I bother taking him, cause every time I do they operate under the assumption everything is viral (without testing), and expect him to get better by himself. The result is he’s suffering for a week until I get another doctor to actually prescribe something. One would think this would be avoidable in 2026. It’s bad for my son (cause he suffers longer) and for me, cause the result is I can’t go to work for at least a week.
