I strongly recommend going somewhere else for registry services.
My experience with AMA Registry was extremely frustrating, and what made it worse was not just the lack of staff experience, but what I can only describe as a ridiculously inefficient process.
When I arrived, I checked in using the tablet at the entrance and clearly selected Legal Name Change as the reason for my visit. I then waited more than 15 minutes before being called to desk #7.
The employee who served me was polite, but he immediately told me that he did not have enough experience to handle a legal name change. He asked me to stand and wait while he tried to find someone who could help. After searching for a while and apparently being unable to find anyone, he told me to go back to the waiting area and said I would be called when someone became available.
I followed his instructions.
What I did not realize was that instead of keeping my original place in the queue, I had apparently been put back onto the waitlist at the very end of the line.
This made absolutely no sense to me. I had already checked in correctly. I had already waited my turn. I had already been called to a desk. The reason my issue could not be handled was because AMA assigned me to an employee who was not trained or experienced enough to provide that service. That was not my mistake.
In a reasonable system, my case should have been transferred directly to the next qualified employee, or at the very least given priority based on my original check-in time. Instead, I was sent back to the bottom of the queue and had to sit there for another 15 minutes.
And after all of that extra waiting, the next employee I dealt with still did not resolve what I came there to do.
So my frustration was not simply because one employee lacked experience. I can understand that employees need training and that not everyone knows every service. The bigger problem was the poorly designed process for handling a customer when the assigned employee cannot perform the service.
If your own check-in system already asks customers to specify exactly what service they need, why assign a Legal Name Change customer to an employee who cannot process a Legal Name Change in the first place? And if that happens, why punish the customer by sending them to the very back of the line?
That is an absurd way to manage a queue and a terrible use of customers’ time.
I eventually went elsewhere rather than continue wasting more time there.
AMA is well known for automotive services and roadside assistance, and based on this experience, I think that is where they should focus. For registry services, especially anything even slightly complicated, I would strongly recommend using a dedicated registry office instead.
Save yourself the time and frustration. Go somewhere else.

I am writing this a bit late as I visit the location in July of 2025 and it was not a good experience at all the staff was super rude including the security guard. After my awful experience there I went to the Crowfoot location and they were amazing friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Recently I redid my vehicle insurance at the Crowfoot location and my advisor Kiel came from the Sunridge location which to my surprise he was amazing!! I would say the staff at Sunridge could learn a few things from him. I do understand that they process over 150 renewals and questionnaires a day so the staff is over worked but unfortunately they are in the customer service business and dealing with them a year ago made me never want to go to the Sunridge location ever again but having to deal with Kiel at Crowfoot did give me some compassion for how busy the Sunridge location is. In conclusion I do stand at my two stars for the location as it was not a pleasant one there maybe the next time I visit the Sunridge location it will be better

Limited staff during peak hours.
This AMA used to be good to skip the wait lines at public registry. However, they don’t seem to handle peak hours well and only have one or two people for registry services. There was easily a line of 10 people and 1 or 2 associates at the desk.
Despite the longer line at Sunridge registry, they always have a full staff and the line seems to go faster. Am not satisfied with AMA service level given that a paid membership is required for this.

Lets talk about Maggie on front desk .
Very unhappy with the service I received from Maggie at AMA Insurance. The attitude was rude and unprofessional, and I did not feel valued as a customer. I expected clearer communication and better treatment.”
Get some manners

Absolutely do not make an appointment here. Despite having an appointment, they made us wait an hour and a half. They said they were busy. But even though others were available, they kept the person I had an appointment with waiting and only processed mine after an hour and a half. Definitely stay away from this branch. They are very indifferent and unhelpful. I didn't know their company was so unprofessional.👎👎
