This place was good. Small and cold portions that all basically tasted the same? It did the job at least of getting food into our stomachs. The staff was really friendly though!! If it wasn’t for them the stars would be lower. I would recommend going to Ricks BBQ place over this one. They were also renovating when we were there so the atmosphere might have improved. Overall, a maybe “try it” rating. Good luck y’all.

Came to have a Sunday dinner with my family and let me tell you it was great! Nice fresh warm food. The corn bread was great. Not to mention the yummy sauce they have for the ribs! The staff here are very friendly and polite. Thank you! A special thanks to Famous Meg ! She’s a great server ☺️

Back home, we used to have a Famous Dave's. It closed down probably 15 or so years ago, and until last week, I haven't had Famous Dave's in at least that long. We arrived around noon on a Friday. They were fairly slow, and our party of five got sat immediately. Our waiter took our drink orders followed by appetizers. Not too long later, we placed our main meal order.

When our meals arrived, it was obvious that the appetizer didn't get put in. They offered to put it in, but we declined. I had the two meat lunch combo with coleslaw plus a side of hell fire pickles. The ribs and brisket looked and tasted good. The ribs were good size and meaty. The brisket was tender and sliced thick, which I prefer. For the cost, I feel the portion of brisket was minimal. The coleslaw was creamy and overall good. The cornbread muffin was just like remembered, moist, and flavorful. The hell fire pickles had great flavor with a nice little kick.

My wife went with a kids' meal that consisted of a chicken thigh with a side of beans. The chicken had great flavor and wasn't dry. Beans were fantastic with chunks of meats baked in. For the money, the kids' meal was a great value.

Unfortunately, when one of the members from our group went to the restroom, she overheard the waiter complaining about us to a coworker because he forgot to in an appetizer. No one was truly upset or outspoken about it, so that was shocking. I'd rate the food 4 out of 5 for taste and 3 out of 5 for value. Service was mediocre at 2 1/2.

Very good smoked meats. I had the brisket and St. Louis ribs while my wife enjoyed the 'chopped pork'. The brisket and chopped pork were served in a slice of Texas toast. The sides, while tasty, were a bit skimpy. They're creamy coleslaw was good, just a tad more vinegar for my taste. The garlic mashed potatoes were fabulous. The meats were not over sauced and we were given a basket of three sauces to use at our discretion. Finally, there was a delicious corn muffin that became my dessert. I recommend this place for a reasonably priced lunch or dinner.

Delicious!!!! Best BBQ. The brisket melts in your mouth! And better than the last place I had in Austin, TX. We got the platter and it had a lot of food. Very nice service. The place was crowded but the wait was about 15 minutes. Please tip well.
