I had a great experience with the hotel staff and other staff Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about our experience at B-Lux Grill & Bar and their front register staff and host.

We had been waiting for a table since around 8:30 PM. At approximately 9:08 PM, a manager told us that we could not be served and that it would be best for us to “just go eat somewhere else” or order our food to go. Her attitude and the way she spoke to us were extremely rude and dismissive she definitely needs to be let go. I owned restaurants before and this is not how you treat customers. You appreciate them choosing to use you for services and appreciate them paying you to keep your business.

What made the situation even more upsetting was seeing other guests behind us being seated while we were being told to leave or order to go. After waiting that long, I felt singled out and discriminated against because I could not understand why other customers were being seated while we were denied a table.

I ultimately ordered my food to go, but the entire interaction left a terrible impression. This was our first experience like this, and it was completely unacceptable. Customers should be treated with courtesy and respect, especially after they have already been asked to wait for a table.

B-Lux Grill & Bar really needs to address how customers are treated by management. Telling paying customers to “go eat somewhere else” while continuing to seat other guests is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful.

We had visited this restaurant a few years ago when we stayed at Kalahari & we didn’t like it. During this stay, I thought maybe it had improved but I was wrong. The service at the hosts desk was the beginning of a very bad experience. They were not friendly or welcoming at all!! I specifically asked for a table but she didn’t care to make that note. They simply took my name & number & said you’ll get a text when it’s ready. About 35 minutes later, we got the text and it was unclear who was going to show us to our table, we were finally escorted to a booth, we asked for a table & he just walked back to the front without saying anything soooo we just followed and found ourselves just walking in circles. Finally, we sat down and then it took about 10 minutes before we called on a waiter passing by and he happened to be our waiter. It was almost closing time on a Tuesday so we just ordered our drinks & food. My daughter asked for the pecker fries with NO meat. Well, when we got the food it had fried chicken on it, which was also very hard & gross. Our “sweet tea” was more like water with a hint of tea. We hardly saw the waiter, we were tired, thirsty, hungry & ready to go so we didn’t complain. The Caesar salad was okay, my mom liked the chili & my son also ordered a chocolate milkshake & thought it would be a simple shake but instead, it was this huge thing… so he wasn’t happy. We didn’t get silverware so we had to ask for some from the lady who brought the food. We never got any refills or asked if we needed anything. It was just a horrible experience. Do yourself a favor & just skip this place. It’s NOT worth it. We paid $81 for a shake, fries with hard fried chicken, a cup of chili & a Caesar salad with shrimp. I should’ve just gotten some tacos from the Mexican restaurant on site or driven to get food somewhere….

B-Lux grill was amazing all around. Food was great and the atmosphere was perfect for our family of 5. Most amazing part was our server, Brishana. She was prompt, thorough, and helpful in choosing the best food and drinks. Her personality was so welcoming and the service she provided was top notch; she should be training all new servers.

We hosted our Texas Tech Art Alumni Reception at B-Lux Grill & Bar during the TAEA Conference, and the entire experience was outstanding. Kelbie and her team — Aspen, Liv, and Sebastian — delivered top-tier service from start to finish.

Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were exemplary and truly elevated our event. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the friendly service, excellent food, and how well taken care of they felt. As an event planner, I’ve worked with many venues, and this team is one of the best I’ve ever encountered. We’re already looking forward to returning when TAEA is back at Kalahari in 2027.

Highly recommend B-Lux, the Kalahari Events Team, and especially Kelbie. They helped us represent Texas Tech beautifully. Honorary Red Raiders! Ŧ

We loved this restaurant connected to the bowling alley. They serve things like handheld, burgers, appetizers, etc. You can order food to be served right there at the bowling alley or sit at one of their high tops. Our server was very kind and helped us with recommendations.
