My late grandfather was a plumber in Missouri who served his community from the 1940s through the 1970s. Back then, your plumber was someone you knew, trusted, and built a relationship with over the years. Today, that can be hard to find.

Fortunately, I’ve found that kind of trust with Tennessee Standard Plumbing — and especially with Casey.

Although Tennessee Standard has a fleet of wrapped plumbing vans and the resources of a larger operation, they are a locally owned company employing local plumbers. That matters to me.

Last week, I was out of state on business when a guest staying in my downstairs Airbnb suite called to tell me there was a problem with the shower. The hot-water handle was spinning without properly turning the water on or off, and the shower was leaking water.

I called Tennessee Standard and, given the circumstances, specifically asked if Casey could come to my home. They accommodated my request.

Casey already knew my home, including the fact that I have an indoor cat upstairs who absolutely cannot be let outside. I was able to remotely give him coded access while keeping my Airbnb guests informed about exactly who was coming and when. He got inside, shut off the water to the house, assessed the problem, and made the shower usable until he could return to complete the larger repair.

My guests were relieved that the water had stopped leaking and that they once again had some control over the hot water.

A few days later, Casey returned and replaced the old two-handle shower setup with a modern single-lever control with a rotational limit stop. Because of the existing tile, he installed a renovation plate with rubber gaskets to neatly cover the openings left by the old fixtures. He also cut an opening in the wall of the adjoining room and installed an access panel so the plumbing can be reached in the future without having to tear into the bathroom.

It was a substantial repair, and I trusted Casey implicitly to handle it correctly.

There is tremendous value in having a plumber you trust working for a reputable local company—especially when you own an older home, operate a short-term rental, and sometimes have to handle emergencies from hundreds of miles away.

I am extremely pleased with this repair and with all of the work Casey has done in my home.

If you’re ever out of town and get that dreaded call that a guest can’t turn off the water, call Tennessee Standard and ask for Casey. He certainly came to my rescue!

Chris arrived promptly at the stated appointment time and he looked over our plumbing situation and gave us three options to choose from. He was very professional and he let us know how the job was going as he went along. He also gave us some tips on how to
take care of our new sink and faucet, and he was just as kind and courteous as he could be. We had just a regular plastic ugly mud sink and now we have a cabinet and built-in mud sink. We are absolutely thrilled with the results.

Ive lived in my townhouse for nearly 20 years and decided it was time for some upgrades. I reached out to Tennessee Standard for a new shower. Never did I expect the amazing options available to me! After deciding on a beautiful walk in shower to replace my boring old 40 year old tub, Peter and Daniel showed up and walked me through everything that would happen at my house. They were so friendly and personable during the process, I felt like I just had some buddies over. The shower was finished and I feel like I have a 5 star hotel shower in my house now. Beyond impressed. Beyond happy. Beyond excited to share this review with anyone looking for ANY type of plumbing needs, or an upgrades!

I had a great experience with Dylan and Nick at TN Standard plumbing company. Another company had been unable to clear my drain and quoted me for a point repair on my main sewer line that was full of roots but I wanted to get a second opinion so I called TN Standard. They told me they would give me a free visit to get a second opinion, no service charge at all. They always called/ texted to let me know arrival times and who to expect. Their initial quote was higher than the previous company so they worked with me to get down to a slightly lower price than the competition. Both companies had told me they would have to take down part of my wood fence to get the equipment in but Dylan was able to maneuver the machine through my existing gate opening! They were very respectful of my property and careful with anything that needed to be moved or taken apart. My sewer work was very extensive and had difficult access but they handled it like total pros! We ended up replacing almost the entire line and they were able to give me a reasonable price for the extra work on the spot. I really appreciate them turning bad news into a good experience!

Yes, Ben is an excellent salesman. He spent a lot of time explaining things to me and my options. He was very courteous and patient as I had my two small grandchildren with me. He also took time to also explain my options to my son who had come over to help me decide. He is a great asset to your company

Your company had recently installed a hot water heater in my sisters home and she was very pleased and recommended your company to me.

Your installation crew was great as well.

And I love the metal business cards and think it's a great idea about the signage your guys put out at the end of the driveway if anyone is in need of immediate service.
