He had the opportunity to volunteer in hospitals to observe physicians’ work and enjoyed the chance to see the application of science simultaneously with patient interaction, which led him to pursue a career as a physician.During his internal medicine residency, Dr. Stevens developed an interest in the mentally challenging field of endocrinology where he was able to utilize his excellent problem-solving skills. Furthermore, he appreciated that the field yields a mix of both common and rare diseases, which affords him an opportunity to treat a variety of conditions including diabetes, osteoporosis, and conditions arising with the thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands.Dr. Stevens’ patient care philosophy revolves around being a good listener, working hard for his patients, and serving as a compassionate partner in his patients’ health.
