Whether it is welcoming a new patient, seeing someone after a hospital stay or performing a skin biopsy, it is clear that Dr. Valadez really cares about his patients.As a board certified Internist, Dr. Valadez has over 20 years of medical practice experience in a wide range of clinical settings. After graduating from Harvard Medical School, he completed his internal medicine residency training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He then spent several years in private practice in New York City with Cornell-New York Hospital. Dr. Valadez and his family later moved back to native California where he was in private practice prior to joining Hoag Medical Group.Dr. Valadez has also found time to combine his love of travel, medicine and helping those in need by going on medical missions to Honduras, Mexico, Colombia and Tanzania, Africa.Some of Dr. Valadez’ areas of interest include geriatrics, hypertension, diabetes and obesity.In his free time, Dr. Valadez spends time with his wife, who was a medical school classmate, and their two college aged children.
