I had an amazing experience here! The Reuben Burger was one of the best I've ever had, and the onion rings were absolutely delicious. The Old World Triple Cheese Burger was incredible as well—packed with flavor and cooked perfectly.
The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and very well maintained. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. A special shoutout to Drew, who provided exceptional service and made our visit even better. If you stop by, be sure to ask for him!
Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back!

I love the way they protect their staffs by including 18% gratuities. I don’t think the service will be bad and I will not get attention from the servers when gratuities are included. I really like more the proper manner way when the host informs me about the charge before I am going to be seated. If someone cannot afford to pay 18% as standard tips, I think they rather do cheap cook for their eggs at home.

I’ve visited this Village Inn several times, and while the service has always been okay and the food okay, my most recent visit left me genuinely disappointed. They’ve now added a mandatory 18% service fee to the bill — with no explanation, no signage, and no heads-up from the host or server.

What makes this even more frustrating is that the fee is added automatically, yet when you go to pay, the system still prompts you to leave an additional tip. If you’re not paying close attention, you could easily end up tipping twice. Guests deserve transparency, and we should have the choice to tip based on the service we receive, not be surprised by a hidden charge.

I hope they reconsider how this is communicated, because unexpected fees like this take away from what could otherwise be a simple, decent dining experience.

Updated Review – Village Inn (W. Hillsborough Ave)
After six months, I decided to give this location another try, and unfortunately nothing has changed. They are still not letting people know about the automatic service fee. What makes it worse is that you can’t even see an itemized receipt before you pay. They simply give you a total and expect you to trust that it’s correct, but you have no idea what you’re actually being charged for. It’s not transparent, it’s not customer‑friendly, and it leaves you feeling like you’re paying blind.

Stacey and I were very close and really hungry, so we dropped in, I would say our server was fantastic the food came very quickly and good, but I can’t give 5 stars to a place that adds the tip to the bill and taxes it and they tax the servers tips, for that reason I won’t say his name.

I had the burger (as usual) and Stacey had a salad, ( she did get 2 meals out of it).
We did two meals for $25 with pie, we brought our pie home also. I’m really surprised it wasn’t more crowded because I am definitely recommending this place!
Those are MY feelings about the tax thing. They do a bingo game on Thursday evenings.

Very nice restaurant for breakfast and lunch. They have a great kids menu. My son loved his mini pancakes. Very big servings. Our server was very professional and he knew a lot about the menu. We will be back soon
