My 13-year-old daughter had a multi-year gap in math, and I worried we'd waited too long. Six weeks at Mathnasium of Surprise and I'm already seeing growth — she's engaged in the learning process now, comfortable asking questions, and actually understanding fractions instead of just memorizing steps. The instructors meet her where she is and adjust to her needs.

Highly likely to recommend to friends and family.

Our first experience with Mathnasium at the Surprise location was unfortunately disappointing. I brought my 13-year-old 8th grader in for an evaluation because she struggles with math due to ADHD and anxiety. Shortly after I stepped outside, my daughter texted me saying she was having an anxiety attack and feeling uncomfortable. I returned to find her crying uncontrollably in the bathroom.

From her perspective, the evaluator appeared impatient and judgmental regarding her pace on the iPad test. I immediately informed the tutor that this environment was not a good fit for us and we left. I later called the center to explain what happened, emphasizing that staff working with students who need extra academic support should always be patient, encouraging, and nonjudgmental. Every child learns differently, so please proceed with caution if your student requires a gentle accommodating environment.

My granddaughter had a wonderful experience with Mathnasium this summer. We could see her confidence grow after every session. She enjoyed the one on one tutorial help with every instructor. She worked hard for rewards that were presented after each session. This summer session was truly a great learning experience for us. I see my granddaughter going into the next school year with added confidence in her Math class. Thanks Mathnasium Surprise and staff you guys were so wonderful for us.

My daughter looks forward to going to Mathnasium! We signed my daughter up almost two years ago. She wanted to learn something a bit more than what they were teaching at school so my husband and I thought why not! She is excelling in math at school and seems to know everything when it is introduced in class. She enjoys the instructors and we could not ask for more! I would recommend Mathnasium to anyone!
