My experience at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Chester has been fantastic. I was very nervous to try out ballroom dancing as I had never taken formal dancing lessons before and as I was always hesitant to dance at weddings or parties. But I decided to give it a try. And I am so happy that I did. The instructors and staff are wonderful- so knowledgeable and welcoming and encouraging. And beyond that they have created an environment that is welcoming and encouraging as evidenced by the way that the students all support each other and help each other. Rarely have I experienced such a welcoming place in all facets as here. I am so grateful to have been welcomed into this community. I have learned so much and become much more confident in myself in the short amount of time that I have attended, and that is a testament to Lupita, Joseph, Irvin, and Manu at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Chester.

I came to FADS 2 years ago, I never danced before. I was the last one on the dance floor dancing to the slowest song and then running off. I always wanted to danced but was so embarrassed when I tried. I had no rhythm and I couldn’t hear the beat of the song. When I came here and met Lupita and Irvin, the welcomed me warmth and encouragement. They treat their students as family, supporting each other , having so much patience and building confidence along our dance journey. In fact I call our FADS my dance family! When I began, I told Lupita I just want to learn to dance socially so I am not embarrassed anymore. I told her I would never compete in a competition and 2 years later Lupita has given me the confidence and training that I am now competing and have so much fun!! Lupita has given me a whole new world for me to enjoy my life!! I can never thank her enough!!!

Irvin and lupita are absolutely amazing. I couldn’t recommend them more. They listened to our vision and brought it to life. The dance felt like us and came together so beautifully on our wedding day. We cant thank them enough. If you’re getting married and are uncomfortable with all eyes on you, I recommend seeing them and getting yourself comfy on the dance floor!

We came into Fred Astaire Chester with two left feet and a lot of nerves. But session by session, the instructors put us at ease, made us laugh, and honestly made us look forward to each lesson. With our wedding next week, we already feel so much more confident and actually excited to get out on the dance floor. If you’re thinking about learning to dance, we wholeheartedly recommend them—they’re wonderful people and made the whole experience something we’ll always remember.

I started dancing last year and I love it at the studio! Im always welcome and the atmosphere is amazing. I am dancing with Irvin and he is a great instructor, which motivates me even more to practice consistently. Every lesson brings fun and a lot of joy.
