Dr Savage is a great doctor and a wonderful man! The care and service that I've received at Gulf Orthopaedics, from all of their physicians, nurses, desk staff, etc., has consistently been absolutely BEST IN CLASS! Dr Savage has operated on multiple members of my family and friends. They all share my high opinion of Dr Savage and the Gulf Orthopaedics team!

Dr. Carter is and has always been the best. I originally started seeing him when I had a knee injury. I was being encouraged by another doctor to have surgery. So I came to Dr Carter for a second opinion long story short with his help therapy in time I I was able to avoid surgery.

Experienced Gulf Orthopaedics with my wife and mother in law - both experiences were amazing. Now I'm seeing Dr. Rowland. Everyone from the staff, mid-levels, and doctors are true health care practitioners. They really are friendly, helpful, professional. Highly Recommend!!

Absolutely horrendous staff. I have not been able to make it there personally because my appointment has been rescheduled without my consent three different times .when I called about this I first, received a person who had to keep putting me on hold because she could not answer any of my questions and didn't know anything about the doctor's actual actual schedule..So she was in scheduling and scheduling alone with no further information to help her move forward. I was finally sent over to someone else and received such a severe attitude.. The woman was willing to actually argue and tell me she couldn't see my past appointments on her schedule so she couldn't speak to it... Mind blown..... I cannot believe these people are in the healthcare Industry... I have also called to make my husband an appointment for 2 different locations on his body that are in agony.... Ran into the same attitude from the scheduling department... And apparently they erase all of their old appointments, so they cannot even recall any of what occurred before the moment they're on the phone. Not the welcome to Alabama one would hope for.

I’ve now been to this office three times, which at this point basically makes me an unofficial piece of the furniture. Every visit, the front desk staff has been incredibly friendly, and the nursing and X‑ray teams deserve gold stars for being both efficient and genuinely kind.

The first time I went, I saw the same doctor who did my husband’s surgery. My husband and I do not agree on this man. I personally felt like he didn’t quite believe me when I said I didn’t know my hand was broken. He squeezed my finger and asked, “Does that hurt.” Well… yes. Now that you’re pressing on the broken part, it does. That said, he still got me squeezed into the hand specialist’s schedule even though the calendar was packed, because he said I’d already gone too long with a broken hand. So make of that what you will.

My next appointment was with the actual hand doctor, Dr. Rowland, and I cannot say enough good things about him. He listens. He’s kind. He doesn’t dismiss you or rush you. I usually have to tone myself down with doctors because I’m used to being brushed off, but not here.

Overall, this is an amazing office with top‑notch staff. Highly recommend.
