The employees are all so kind. They explain any sales and promos they’re having. They’re interactive with you while you’re checking out. The sweet cashier today even complimented my hair. Sometimes they’ll say nice things like “this is a good find!”. Maybe they say that to everyone. It’s just nice to have store employees who are pleasant and not afraid to speak to you in a world where everything is self-checkout or online. I love this store!

OUTSTANDING! AWESOME!

Thank you for such a professional and satisfying experience. The purchase price you offered for my clothing was more than fair.

Although you did not purchase two of my items, the suggestions and guidance you provided—to take those pieces to at least three other vendors—proved to be invaluable.

Your honesty, professionalism, and willingness to help, even when it didn't directly benefit your business, truly set you apart.

I highly recommend your services to anyone looking for fairness, integrity, and exceptional customer service. Thank you again for making this such a positive experience!

Definitely did not have a good experience trying to sell clothes at this location.

I arrived around 10:40 and brought a selection of quality brands including Karl Lagerfeld Paris, Banana Republic, Anthropologie, BCBG, and more. I kept everything in a garment bag to avoid wrinkling since I was traveling with my nine-year-old son, who is autistic.

From the start, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult. I was told there would be a 45-minute wait, which I understood. However, there was nowhere for us to sit while waiting. When I asked if I could wait in my car in front of the store, I was told no, because that would mean I was no longer considered “in the store” and would lose my place in line.

I then considered leaving my items, but was told that if I did, my clothes would be processed, tagged, and put on the floor, and I would have to accept whatever offer was given. That didn’t feel comfortable or flexible at all.

Throughout the interaction, I also felt spoken to in a dismissive way, including assumptions made about what I had brought in (such as formal dresses, which I did not have). With a child present and no seating available, I honestly felt like there was no effort to make the experience workable or accommodating.

I ended up taking my clothes back and leaving. I will not be returning to this location. The experience left a very bad impression overall.

My sister and I have been at this location several times, and normally have a good experience. We like to shop here and sell here, but we had a pretty negative experience today. My sister and I arrived with 7 bags, and were told by the manager when walking in that they had a 2 bag limit - which we've never been told before. The manager specifically said that we would be "overwhelming the employees," but that she'd make an exception today. When we got to the register, the employee there told us they had a 5 bag limit, and when we asked if this policy was new, she said no.

If we knew this policy, we would have happily followed it, but we couldn't see it posted or communicated anywhere. It's pretty unfortunate when you're trying to bring in items and are made to feel bad by management for a policy that depending on who you're talking to, either a) doesn't exist or b) is a different number. I generally love Uptown Cheapskate, but would encourage their managerial staff to rethink how they talk to customers in the future. The lady working at the desk was lovely!

... By the way, they paid me $16 in-store credit for items in 7 bags. My sister got $68 in-store credit at the Little Elm location with similar items, and had 3 bags đź«
