My husband and I went out to Banff and stayed at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. We live in Ontario.We were so impressed with the bed ( had the best night sleeps) we decided to find out where they got them made and was told Halstead. I decided to call and order from them and spoke with Martin the owner.When I hadn't heard from Halsteadin a few weeks I decided to call. The mattress hadn't been started yet. I became agitated ,and they said it would be initiated soon. When it came to paying for the mattress (1795. No box spring) I paid by credit card. They told me they would deliver it to a "depot" in Montreal or Toronto that I could pick it up! I argued that for the price I shouldn't have to go and pick up a mattress, it should be delivered to my door. Well for an extra 275.00 "they could do that because God forbid , they had to arrange for another delivery company to drop it off. The bed I received was NOTHING like the beautiful firm mattress from the hotel. It was a flimsy, spring mattress, with cheap ugly striped material as a cover! The one in Banff was solid, heavy and covered Ina beautiful white bro card material. "Martin" swore it was the same bed. He blatantly lied, overcharged me for the Garbage bed he sent ,did not pay half the delivery charge as agreed and the mattress has caused more back problems than I originally had! Buyer beware with this company. Martin prides himself on his smooth talk. If I lived out there, I would have taken him to court.
