Murphy performed her undergraduate studies and earned a B.A. through Rhodes College in 1996 and her M.D. through the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2000. She graduated first in her medical school class, earning the highest academic rating possible. Her medical residency in Dermatology was performed at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, and her program was completed in 2004. Dr. Murphy holds a Fellowship with the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She is board-certified in Dermatology and holds licensure in Louisiana.
