Last May, I set off looking for a stylish hat. I had just developed Alopecia and was in desperate need of a hat that would cover my small head. Joanne was very accommodating and made alterations so that the hat fit me perfectly. I am so p!eased and have so many compljments. Thank you so much Joanne, I will certainly be back.

I have to start by saying that I think this store has a great selection of hats and is quite conveniently located in Portage Place mall. But I had a very bad experience with the store's manager today:

Two weeks ago I stopped by the store to ask the prices for a certain type of hat. I was told that ones without ear-flaps were $35-50 and ones with ear-flaps were around $60. Today, I went in to buy the hat. I was shown many different colours and noticed while I was browsing that many of them had prices tags of $60 or $65 (which was what I was expecting). I picked out a hat but the one I picked didn't have a price tag. The clerk went to ask the manager the price and came back to me saying that it was $130! She then came over to talk to me and asked my what I thought the price should be. I told her of my experience about coming in two weeks ago and how I saw price tags on the other hats, but all she could say to that was "well, that was two weeks ago."

I am just severely disappointed and feel that her doubling the price on me is very unprofessional behavior.

A year ago I called the owner with a special request, mailed to me in the north of Manitoba. I was so happy with the service, sometimes I even ponder stopping by Winnipeg just to check out their shop.
