Never ever go to office of Dr. Caroline Gorn due to neglect, harm and an “abusive”staff and Doctor. I am filing a severe complaint. No patient should be treated as an inconvenience for the doctor and staff when you are the customer. I have been with Mercy for over 20 years and have never experienced such abuse. People need to voice matters like this to stop patient abuse so I posted this as awareness that you have rights. This posting is Zero stars but google requires one!

I am so grateful I was referred to Mercy, especially Dr. Gorn 🩷 I did my consultation with her regarding endometriosis, she heard me out and listened and scheduled a laproscopic diagnostic/excision of endometriosis. I had surgery 2 days ago and I have not had my post op appointment just yet so I hope I am interpreting everything correctly but from reading the post OP note and hearing what she told my support person, it looks like she found endo on my uterus, bowels, and bladder, and a cyst on my left fallopian tube, and retroperitoneal fibrosis on both ureters. I’m so thankful she agreed to do surgery on me and did not dismiss my symptoms. She found what was causing my pain and im excited to see what my future holds now🩷

I was a patient of Dr.Gorn for over 2 years now. She performed 3 surgeries for me and I honestly had nothing but wonderful things to say about her for the longest time. My last surgery wound up being incredibly traumatic due to the way she treated me afterwards. She berated me when I was in the worst pain imaginable, blamed me for choosing surgery, was defensive about me asking questions about choices she made about my body.

After arguing with her while sobbing and her berating me, she finally offered that I could stay overnight at the hospital to be monitored but stated “you can’t stay in the hospital forever” as if that’s what I wanted?! She was extremely passive aggressive and then came into my hospital room the next day saying “I’m not sure if you remember our conversation yesterday” and acted entirely different as if because I had come out of surgery hours before that- that I hadn’t remembered what she had said to me and how she had treated me.

After sending her a note terminating my care with her due to my traumatic experience she said she was “sorry I felt that way” 🙃 not sorry she made me feel that way or for HER actions… take note if you ever plan on visiting her.

There are so many things I appreciate about Dr. Gorn- excellent surgeon and fantastic bedside manner. But one thing I really appreciate is the efficiency of this office. Things run like clock work. I can be at my appointment on time and be seen immediately and out the door in 15/20 minutes while still being throughly evaluated and not rushed out. The people coming here to complain they were seen when THEY WERE LATE--- i appreciate this office so much for enforcing rules and boundaries that respect the patients who are on time so that we don't have to wait forever. Im not saying ive never been late- but I do understand that my time is not more important than anyone else's.

I have an appointment with her in a few weeks and im looking forward to seeing her and discussing options for me moving forward.

Edited to add- her MA is also so friendly and pleasant which helps ease any discomfort right off the bat. After trying to find the right fit I am glad to have found this office

I am so grateful that I found Dr. Gorn. My previous obgyn diagnosed me with fibroids after years of mentioning long and painful periods (I'm sure if Dr. Gorn was my doctor before it would have been caught earlier). That doctor also was very insensitive in how she provided me with my diagnosis and treatment advice.

Dr. Gorn was the complete opposite. She was very attentive, listened to my concerns, explained things clearly, answered all my questions and was overall comforting. I would advise anyone to go see her (I already have with several friends).
