She specializes in the treatment of breast cancer, the management of high-risk individuals, and the treatment of benign breast diseases.Dr. Yeh was originally drawn to medicine with an interest in plastic surgery, which was a natural fit for her background as an avid ceramicist and artist. She discovered her true calling during surgical residency, where she found profound fulfillment in connecting with patients during challenging times and celebrating their recoveries. This eventually led her to breast oncology, a field that perfectly combines her passion for surgical precision, excellent treatment options, and promising patient outcomes.She completed her residency at Morristown Medical Center and her fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Prior to joining Northwell, she served as section chief of breast surgery at NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn for eight years. Her move to Northwell was driven by the opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing the new state-of-the-art multidisciplinary cancer center at the Victoria and Lloyd Goldman Health Care Pavilion in Manhattan as well as developing the breast program in Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital.Dr. Yeh believes in empowering individuals to understand their options and actively participate in their care, and is a staunch advocate for patient education and transparency. She takes pride in being known for effectively communicating complex medical concepts in an understandable way. She values Northwell's commitment to physician autonomy and personalized patient care.Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Yeh is deeply committed to public health, regularly conducting community talks and corporate presentations on breast health. She passionately advocates for lifestyle and dietary modifications as crucial tools in cancer risk reduction. While genetics are beyond our control, we possess decision-making and control in how we live our lives to decrease risks.
