I really like my physical therapist and have been very happy with the care I’ve received, which makes this review disappointing to write. The therapists and staff have been truly AMAZING, and my concerns have nothing to do with the quality of treatment.

Unfortunately, the move to the new location has created a parking situation that has significantly impacted the patient experience. At the previous location, there was ample covered parking that was paid for by the company. The new location has limited parking, no covered parking, and patients are exposed to rain, snow, heat, and other inclement weather while trying to get to and from their appointments.

We’re also expected to go through a parking validation process that requires adding a credit card. Even though we’re told parking will be validated, it’s stressful and frustrating to have a hold placed on my card two or three times a week while waiting for it to be released. On top of that, patients have to remember to pay and validate parking while trying to make it to their appointments on time. If someone forgets their debit or credit card, or simply doesn’t have enough money available at that moment, they’re put in an unfair position. The added worry about having a vehicle ticketed or towed is the last thing patients should have to think about when they’re coming for medical care.

To make matters worse, when there are events happening downtown, the parking lot fills up with event attendees, leaving very few spaces for actual patients. I’ve also experienced interactions where the parking lot owner seemed frustrated with patients simply trying to attend their appointments, which only adds to the stress.

The quality of care is excellent, but the parking experience has become such a burden that it has honestly made me consider seeking treatment elsewhere. I truly hope management reevaluates this situation and finds a solution that puts patients first. Excellent healthcare should not be overshadowed by unnecessary parking challenges.

Very friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff! As a health care provider I felt very well taken care of! I highly recommend this location to anyone. Nichole Chakur, PT, is awesome!

My PT, Nikki, at Athletico is saving my life. She enables me to move, to drive, to get around in less pain. From knees to hip to shoulder to neck pain, each visit gets better and better. The staff there is also helpful and professional.

Athletico downtown Detroit is home to some of the kindest, most caring, most empathetic and patient driven physical therapist and physical therapy assistants. I had the pleasure of seeing them for an injury a few times and they were nothing but professional patient oriented and caring. I made a family at this location and the People in this institution are some of the greatest people I had the pleasure of rehabbing with, shout out to Nicki Hannah, Bryan, Tyler And Ashley, for creating such a comfortable and Rehabilitative environment for everyone. I would so highly recommend coming to this location specifically because of the people and how much they care about your progress and growth not only physically, but with your mindset and your goals. I came into this without knowing many people and I think I came out with a group of people that really cared about me as a person. They would ask everyday how life was and I’m so happy to have gained so many amazing friends during this time. I plan to continue my relationship with a lot of people at this location. Genuinely Athletico would be nothing without them as the face of this location. ❤️ you guys!

The Detroit Athletico team were not only extremely helpful with my TMJ pain relief but also helping in the long term care. Additionally, they were the kindest and funniest group of people I've met in a long time.

The administration is helpful and efficient. The therapist work fantastic together to provide care. And the techs were able to assist in motivation and positioning of exercises.

The location remained clean, organized, and bright.

Overall this is the best physical therapy I've attended. In fact I liked it so much that due to a recent injury to my arm, I plan to attend again😂 10/10 will go again!
