He completed his prestigious residency at Columbia University, where he served as an executive chief resident. He concluded at the historic sports medicine division at the University of California, where he served as an assistant team physician to both Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants and the University of California.His research includes advancing novel surgical techniques for ACL and meniscus repairs, rotator cuff repairs and complex shoulder surgery, and cartilage preservation.
